Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
For me I think it would have to be this one. I discovered I love taking macro shots of flowers during our so called summer last year but to find these colours on an otherwise dreary January day this week and get this shot SOOC was very pleasing :)
This is my favorite of the week for me, because it is my first image in 9 months of being on 365 that I did no editing - SOOC and I smiled when I saw it for the first time, as SOOC images that please me are a rarity:
Probably this one, although I did not put it into my main ablum, but as an extra.
I like the contrast between the modern and the old, and the orange, white and blue light. I also like the couple going up the steps as a focal point. I should have cloned out the fallen lamp post and cone in the foreground though!
My favourite things about Levi are his eyes, and I managed to capture them just as he raised an eyebrow to look up. I'm new (both to 365 project and to photography generally), but really proud of myself for this one!
I was hoping to get a nice sunset as the previous days way beautiful, however low cloud spoiled the view. This shot turned out better then I had hoped, it also got great feedback on 500px when I uploaded there.
This is mine. Many reasons, mainly because of the fun I had on the London meet up with Paul jones @jonesp and also because it was one of the few times I could actually see the final result I wanted whilst taking the picture.
This one because I have lived in this area all my life and never really noticed it! Also, because when I posted this pic to facebook, someone said it could be in a magazine! :)
I chose this picture because I love the colours and because it reminds me of an amazing trip! It also represents a fair amount of time and effort since it's early days in the project and I'm still learning how to get things the way I want them.
Mainly because I had such a miserable failure trying IR on this day, so reverted to what I sort of know ~ this one is a colour shot of Fedw Pool, edited in Silver Efex ~ we have a geocache hidden here and we visit here a lot as it is a popular geocache so we have to do a lot of replacement logs ~ it is a beautiful spot all year round
This one, probably because of the challenge to shoot it and then put it together. Also because it came together well. 7 shot panorama stacked vertically.
Towards the end of last year, my camera broke, and I got into a real lull. New year, and one shiny Canon later, I've really got my passion back. Last night I rushed home from work because I couldn't wait to have a play. And this was the result..
No one likes to do a selfie.....but my exception is this great community. I took a hint and found a great addition to my personal best. The color before followed by the b&w after. Thanks, guys for all the encouragement!
I was getting crazy of the bad weather since christmas and then that day we had the sun :) I just went for a walk with my son and shot this photo i like the DOF of this photo :)
I like this one because it was one of those times when you spot a bit of color through the trees, and you trudge through the mud to find an old abandoned gem for a photo
This one ended up being my favorite...tough between this one and the B&W with color pop version. I love the cute over sized hat. I was pleased with the outcome of this shoot even though I don't care for the background.
I really like this shot of the Perot Museum in Dallas. I love all the colors and textures of the building. I liked the black sky and the way the background curves with the fish eye effect. You have to view it magnified to see all the details in the image.
Might be my favorite shot of the project. I'm always curious how my favorite shots seems to get the least interest on 365?
TRACKS IN THE SNOW ~ Becasue it was early morning and my hubby and I were heading out on a little couples roadtrip to a lodge... He is so good about pulling over for me to a picture and we both enjoyed this sunrise!
This one because it just happened. I was sitting out in the cold on the beach and there beside me was this heart of stone. Without moving to change my perspective, I simply snapped this shot.
This is probably one of my favorites I have taken since I started the project last March. And the best part of all was that while taking the pictures inside our Legislature Building, I found myself stuck because of lighting, etc., and rather than switch to "auto mode", I kept trying different things and eventually figured it out.
I think this was my favorite this week as it showed two of our resolutions for the year - new recipes and more vegetarian. A link for the recipe is with the picture.
So far I'm not loving my photos yet for the year. I'm limited in daylight with my long work hours so the only daylight I get is super early in the morning when I walk the dog. I like taking photos outdoors. So for this week this is the more appealing one to me.
Although I was annoyed I had shot in .jpg and not RAW, this is my favourite of the past week. Nice having a willing subject, and she did so well! And ... The photo was how I planned. Always a bonus.
I would have to choose this one because even though it's a sculpture, it's still a spider and a giant one at that. It takes courage to conquer fear....
I know that this picture will always be sentimental to me, as I've just begun this journey, and this is the first P365 shot taken with my brand new Canon DSLR. I hadn't had the camera 24 hours yet, and spontaneously pulled over on my way home to try my first T4i tripod shoot. The reflection in the ice made for an amazing test subject.
this was extremely difficult for me to pick just one... now that I'm doing my own thing and what is right for me, I'm proud of everything I upload because there's a bit of me in each and every shot. My 3 favorites are Winterfell (the only shot in my year 2 album without a fave) because I've never found it easy to capture fog and hoarfrost together in a shot and it just looks so magical...also Wherever You Go, There You Are because, even though its a urinal, its an image I envisioned before I ever took the picture and I managed to get what I wanted (perhaps I WAS channeling Duchamp), but I think I'm going to have to go with this shot from yesterday, because when I look at it, it looks perfect to me, and there is so much to see in the image - the rays of light in the sky on the left, the light and texture on the barn, the detail in the trees, the light and shadow on the house behind the trees, the clouds, the contrasts....
For my project I've taken all my photos with my iPhone. This photo was taken while I was on a walk with my dog in our local forest. You wouldn't know it from the picture but it was pretty cold out that day.
My goal this year was to actively participate in a 365 competition or theme each week. So I chose the mundane object competition and this is the second of the two days of photos. I loved the light passing through the bottles and the sense of a party you can get from bending a few paperclips into odd shapes:
@alisonp What is the GC# of your Geocache you mentioned in the picture you posted here? Most of the pictures I post have coords listed and a GC# if I was near one.
@mcrt Mike, it is this one http://coord.info/GC27GTB ~ I never thought of adding the GC number ~ maybe something to remember for future ~ I take a lot of my photos when we are out caching :-)
After two full years here this year I am cutting down on the every day pictures. I am still taking and posting and I do look every day.
This week my favorite picture was from a show at Jazz Alley in Seattle. This young lady, Vicci Martinez, took third on Season 1 of the TV show "The Voice" in the US. I had never seen her before, but casually know her keyboardist. The Voice made her an "overnight success" after being in the music business for a dozen or so years.
I was happy as I managed to avoid getting the orange glow I've had on most of my previous indoor shots. The lighting in my house is awful but by tweaking the white balance on the camera, standing next to a standard lamp and using the flash I was able to come up with this. I altered the highlights after to brighten it more but I'm pleased that I managed to think about a number of different things at once. Usually I can only cope with remembering to change one thing at a time!
When we drove past this barn on the way to an early eye dr. appt. yesterday morning, I had to make my husband turn around and pull over so I could attempt to capture the beauty of this "froggy" morning scene. I only wish I would have had my "real" camera with me, though I think my iPhone did a pretty good job and the one touch filter adds to it too.
I had this idea in my head for a while, and had taken the shot a few times in the past they didn't turn out as I had liked I then read an article about curtain flash this gave me the final jigsaw piece to get what I wanted
I suppose this would be the shot I'm the most proud of. I've been wanting to get one of these beautiful birds in flight for awhile. Also, the light was great at this time of day.
Not taken within the time-frame, but I'm finished with my 365 photo-a-day thing, so now I post whatever I want whenever I want. Sorry. ;-)
I chose this as it is the first time I have tried capturing motion blur of the tubes although I have thought about it for ages. I'll definitely try some more.
This is my favourite that Ive posted this week. Probably one of my favourite photos of my son; i just like the way his head hangs in disappointment that it's bedtime and reluctantly drags his big teddy to bed with him by the ear.
I think I have to go with this as my favourite of this week, because I had so many different shots of it, and at first I didn't think I would be able to pull it off at all! :0)
This one because it represents my situation best but also gave me a chance to work with photoshop again. And to post 12 pictures of my beloved daughter at once ;).
This one for me - I've tried many times in the past to capture the point of ignition - and am pleased that I finally managed to capture the moment and it wasn't a bad shot to boot :)
I had my first photo on the popular page this week but my favourite photo is this b&w selfie. I do not like having my photo taken and I can count on one finger the number of pics of me I truly like since being a 'grown up'. My daughter didn't recognise me maybe that's why i like it?
I can't believe that I took this picture! I posted the first one the day before and played around with it. It is amazing what you can do with Hue/Saturation/Levels.
I've been really pleased with some of my photos this week but think this was my favourite....outside Buckingham Palace walking to work (my new health kick) was at the right place at the right time...
It was a cloudy, gray day, but the backdrop worked well to make this a sad, melancholy sort of shot. I like the repetitive patterns in the razor wire and in the fence.
much as i loved my union station shot, i am going to have to pick this one... it's my selfie for the one night stand challenge... i hate pictures of me generally... but if i squinch my eyes almost closed and pretend really hard that it isn't a picture of me, i quite like it ;p
This was a photo that happened by chance - I had the lens trained on the bee, but then she started to swim on the surface on the water, making the cool ripples :)
I had several this week that I really liked, but chose this one because it is something I have been trying to capture and finally did it decently....smooth water.
I chose this because it was the best day weather-wise at lunchtime so the photo is bright and clear. I like it because of the balance of light and shadows.
This photo got my very first fav (a total of9 atm).. I was so excited... My babies are on camel 2 and 3 and yes my daughter on camel three is texting!!?
This one I think, funnily I had others that were much more popular with my followers. I had never really noticed the little flower details of hydrangeas and I love the colour in this pic. I had been shooting alot with my 35mm lens, so putting on my favourite macro lens on the camera again was fun.
My faverate so far, the original worked out better than I thought, it was my first real time at using Photoshop and lastly because I driver
past this tree quite a bit and just like the shape of it.
my favorite on my project this week wasn't taken by me. My daughter was snapping away on our way home from her animation class. Most of the shots had poles or wires, but this one she liked-I wasnlt happy with anything I had taken that day, so I posted it for her. She was psyched that she got a fav!
I like this one because it's a scene I see everyday at work and I never noticed the beauty in it until the 365 challenge and I shot it. Now it's my favorite photo of the week.
This one, because it was my first attempt at a shot like this (well, my hundredth attempt actually, but the first time I'd aimed to get a shot like this if you get me???) and I love it.
Wowza - so many of these are amazing!
My favorite is this one because of the colours, they feel so fantasy-ish, like it's from The Hobbit or something.
So mine is a video of my journey to my 365th day on the 11th January. If you have 4 minutes spare enjoy watching my first year.
Gotta say I'm proud of getting there (and the video) http://365project.org/monika64/365/2013-01-11
i like this because it was just waiting for me to come out of the rehab pool and walk to my truck and find it.
it pays to always have your camera with you even though some people will think you are crazy.
thanks everyone for all the nice comments and favs.
I took this one called 'Candid' as part of the excellent One Night Stand Challenge. I'm thinking about doing a week's worth of shots of reflexions in security mirrors/cameras...
I know I have only started this project, but would like advise on how to get more people to see and follow me??
Thanks....Oh and the photo? My fave so far!!!
This is my favourite so far. My son and I had a lovely Sunday afternoon walk with the dog. I think the pic really shows what a great time he's having climbing the trees :)
I liked the colors in this photo. I think this thread is a really good idea to see other people's amazing photos I wouldnt have otherwise seen! I'm looking forward to more :)
I have another more technically pretty shot but this one is my favorite because it has more life in it and the meaning behind why took it, which you can read on that entry, is much deeper and more meaningful than my birds on a snowy bird feeder.:-)
@doyle I would recommend going through this thread and some of the other ones and click on every photo you like and look at that persons photos and then follow them. That way you follow people whos work you like and then they may follow you. Just be active and they will come.
@jannkc ok... wasn't sure... been missing a lot of stuff lately... I think its because the new crop of people keep starting threads, so the regular threads tend to get lost in the shuffle

The little ducks that share our piece of the world were my favorite shot. They are incredible to watch and be around. :)
This is my favourite because of the immense amount of detail which is in this photo which can only be seen when it is magnified.
This is the simplest image in my main project this week, think I managed to reduce it to the bare essentials and the colours worked well.
I like the contrast between the modern and the old, and the orange, white and blue light. I also like the couple going up the steps as a focal point. I should have cloned out the fallen lamp post and cone in the foreground though!
I like this one because I shot it three times before I was happy with it. I tweaked it a little each time until it made me smile.
My favourite things about Levi are his eyes, and I managed to capture them just as he raised an eyebrow to look up. I'm new (both to 365 project and to photography generally), but really proud of myself for this one!
Spent almost an hour taking photos of my guitar, but super happy with the result!
@jannkc
Because it's a warm tone in it, and the soup tasted so good.
This one because it was so bright out I wasn't sure what I was getting. I was happy to see it on the computer once I got home.
I was getting crazy of the bad weather since christmas and then that day we had the sun :) I just went for a walk with my son and shot this photo i like the DOF of this photo :)
This one ended up being my favorite...tough between this one and the B&W with color pop version. I love the cute over sized hat. I was pleased with the outcome of this shoot even though I don't care for the background.
Not the best focus, but the owl was so damn tacky it was cute :)
I chose this one because of the composition and the levels of contrast that to me, give the snow a good pop and shows the crispness of winter.
Might be my favorite shot of the project. I'm always curious how my favorite shots seems to get the least interest on 365?
This one because I liked the DOF and the colours.
Although I was annoyed I had shot in .jpg and not RAW, this is my favourite of the past week. Nice having a willing subject, and she did so well! And ... The photo was how I planned. Always a bonus.
Morning has bokeh'n gotta love frost~
This one, definitely, because I managed to get the focus just where I wanted it.
For some reason I just really liked this
Also because it came out sooc.
My favorite from the week, just for how the composition worked out (also my leading lines theme entry)
I was happy as I managed to avoid getting the orange glow I've had on most of my previous indoor shots. This was taken on my phone through a train window, but it was a beautiful (albeit freezing!) day and the Suffolk countryside is a sight to behold.
Not taken within the time-frame, but I'm finished with my 365 photo-a-day thing, so now I post whatever I want whenever I want. Sorry. ;-)
I like this because it's the husband unit, who rarely agrees to photographs. (This was a candid though, but he didn't grumble after I took it. hehe)
I chose this as it is the first time I have tried capturing motion blur of the tubes although I have thought about it for ages. I'll definitely try some more.
I like the colours in this ... it feels warm and welcoming :)
this is my favourite pic from this last week..my 14 year old dog, Bingo.. I'm partial to a low key shot :)
I can't believe that I took this picture! I posted the first one the day before and played around with it. It is amazing what you can do with Hue/Saturation/Levels.
I like this one because my camera is hard to work with when it comes to water, but it really captured it the way I wanted it to this time :)
This was a photo that happened by chance - I had the lens trained on the bee, but then she started to swim on the surface on the water, making the cool ripples :)
I picked this one, my Daughter and I was so excited of the Red mask and we did a photo shoot.
I chose this because it was the best day weather-wise at lunchtime so the photo is bright and clear. I like it because of the balance of light and shadows.
I chose this because it is one of my first attempts editing a pictures beyond cropping.
past this tree quite a bit and just like the shape of it.
I like this one because it's a scene I see everyday at work and I never noticed the beauty in it until the 365 challenge and I shot it. Now it's my favorite photo of the week.
I love the lighting, and the colors. It's exactly what I was trying for!
I really liked how this turned out.
I liked the colours,..
just love all dogs, specially my dog(Inga)
It is my favorite because I am working on not using my flash and manual focus.
My favourite as these are my guardian angels i have one for each member of my family
My favorite is this one because of the colours, they feel so fantasy-ish, like it's from The Hobbit or something.
Couple of ones i'd pick... but for the creepy factor ...
:D
I'm just proud I learned something new in photoshop for this one :)
Gotta say I'm proud of getting there (and the video) http://365project.org/monika64/365/2013-01-11
I like the rawness and the natgeo feeling...
i like this because it was just waiting for me to come out of the rehab pool and walk to my truck and find it.
it pays to always have your camera with you even though some people will think you are crazy.
thanks everyone for all the nice comments and favs.
"The Unbearable Moment...
... when Gunnar realized that the love of his life was looking at him - and he was too cool to turn around and talk to her."
I have a weird sense of humour, and I thought this one was funny. ;-p
(And that actually was a guy in a polar bear costume walking down the street...)
Like the way the light fell on this.
I know I have only started this project, but would like advise on how to get more people to see and follow me??
Thanks....Oh and the photo? My fave so far!!!
I`d say this is my favorite. So simple, so modest. Just trying to get by in a cold, dark night :)
I have another more technically pretty shot but this one is my favorite because it has more life in it and the meaning behind why took it, which you can read on that entry, is much deeper and more meaningful than my birds on a snowy bird feeder.:-)
