This discussion chain is to highlight the work of someone else and show a photo that you marked as +FAV (on the top of the screen) this week. Having people FAV your photo lets you know that what you did really connected with other photographers and for the new members, it really helps get that photo to the popular page. We do this post every week and it is a great way to see work you might of missed or find someone new to follow.
So find a fav from this week and include their user name and why you connected with this photo.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste. 5) If it is not your photo also tag the person who it belongs to so they know you love it (@name) remember no punctuation on either side of the @and name.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion
No processing included here in the shot by @jayberg I absolutely love the colours and the water splash. I think it is really situational and you can feel the vibrance and the fun.
WOW stunning pics everyone. This week's choice is really tough... I have faved some wonderful shots from Peter and Davide this week.. the sunlight and skies have been wonderful. Would it be wrong and a little nepotistic to go with this one from a young chap called George @theonlydolphin and his blackberry? I was miles away outside the supermarket and saw the same sunset, wish I had been there to catch the light on the water too. The sun was huge...
@melissapike Lots of beautiful photos of blossoms and magnolias especiallythis week, one of my favourite flowers, but this macro of a magnolia was very different. I really enjoy Melissa's photos and she provides her own unique captures of New York.
@brumbe@timandelke Wow, both of you...I just do not know what to say, but thank you!!! Sometimes life can be sad, both of you made me smile!!!! Especially with my photos and a water drop, thank you so so much!!!! :)
lots of things I love have already been used, but this one by Craig Mitchell @cpmitchell didn't get enough views - and he's nearly at the end of his 365 project
This one by @serramom made me most emotional so I will say this is my fave fav for the week. When a photo makes you feel something, it must be special.
I'm with @jannkc -- the Santa Sparrow from @buccigrossi made me laugh out loud! I'm tempted to show it to my dad, who watches the birds in the feeder in his yard, as an April Fool ;-)
I've ended up on pauls project several times recently after clicking a photo that caught my eye (which reminds me, i need to go click follow) this one is lovely @jonesp
@icanhazthesuck this photo was a fav for me. It speaks to the postmodern condition of existential angst that has framed modernity. On first glance this image appears to be content free, an anti-photograph, which breaks the rules of all photography. How can a photo have no content or even thus create a discontent for the viewer in the absence of imagery? It is not black or white, just grey. It is not even green, nor is there a river flowing through it. It could be however the best photo ever posted on 365. On closer examination, there appears to be tiny scratches, but under magnification these are minute dust fibers. Who hasn't had an obsession even a compulsion with keeping dust out of their camera. This is the angst of every photographer, and not just a concern for the photograph itself, but our care for the gear. At a philosophical level it reveals a post-Kantian concern with judgement. After disposing of the ontological proofs of god and creating the basis for existential alienation, Kant it is argued maintained that a proof of god (the teleological argument) can still be found in picture thinking, in paintings and art. How can we not believe, it is suggested, that there is a grand creator when such inspirations as crespecular rays can illuminate art. Of course the reality for Kant in his critique of judgement was that in the end it is all a matter of taste. The framing of an argument, is similar to the framing around a work of art. It can be rococo, baroque or a reflection of simple piety. Whether a frame is good or bad is in the end a personal taste. Similarly this photo has the dullness of a grey cloud, and reveals a failure with dust, but has a classic retro white frame. In fact the frame may be the most important part of this antI-photo, and it's dialogue with our photographic condition. Whither photography!
I loved this one the minute I saw it as and have added it to my list of placed I'd like to visit. If you haven't checked out Leana's project you should, she's been traveling aruond the world by bicycle for about 4.5 years now. @leananiemand
@emjay8 Thanks a lot Mel to mention my picture, really. It's difficult for me to say what I'm feeling about what you've done because I don't speak english very well. So thanks again, it's important for me to know that my picture has been stucked in tour brain :)
It was hard to choose a favorite fav this week! I had two that I kept toggling back and forth between and finally decided that I'd post this one (although I wish I could post both!!) I love the colors, perspective and composition of this shot. It lifts my spirits- especially thanks to the butterfly who is happily winging his way through the shot.
