are you a stand out? by summerfield

are you a stand out?

"why do you try to fit in when you were born to stand out?"
(i don't know whose quote that is otherwise i'd acknowledge the name.)

i'm trying my hand at this kind of processing (selective colouring, is it?). i'm not really a fan of this processing and i don't plan on doing this often. but we're on a treasure hunt for "yellow".

i had ordered a small bouquet for our new year's eve dinner table but i was not too keen on the festive reds that my florist friend had at her shop. she had a few yellow roses so i settled for them and she made me this gorgeous bouquet. my dinner table looked like a million dollars but i forgot to take a photo. the bouquet is still looking gorgeous though.
I think you accomplished the selective coloring goal admirably! And you found your yellow! Good job! I think you have to do selective coloring with a purpose. It needs to make sense rather than just be a gimmick. It works here because of the quote- and the bouquet is a great object to highlight one specific rose.

Flowers do make a great centerpiece to any table. I really do not do much editing to photos at all but the yellow here is outstanding
