well, guess who's back! the little cow that could, who else.
when darren came to stay on the weekend, little wahoo told him all about her adventures on 365. she showed darren her seven pictures and what she came up with for grandmere summerfield's treasure hunt. darren was quite pleased and they played together the whole weekend. darren went bowling and little wahoo went bowling with him. darren went to see the movie 'tintin' and little wahoo went to see it, too. they had a lot of fun. it was not so fun, though, when darren was going back to his home. so darren asked grandmere if she can let little wahoo help her with her treasure hunt so little wahoo would forget that darren's gone. and because grandmere was running out of steam, er, ideas, she said, why not? in fact, grandmere received a lot of e-mails, asking her to let wahoo come back. so...
tonight, when grandmere summerfield came home, she found little wahoo buried in a book.
grandmere: what are you doing, wahoo? did you come up with an idea for my treasure hunt?
little wahoo: (a little bit dizzy from reading books the whole day) oh, i forgot all about it. (looking guilty.)
grandmere: it's okay, i'm sure i can think of something. i'm good with last minute ideas. so what did you do that was so interesting that you forgot about our treasure hunt?
little wahoo: well, i've been reading this book about health. i've seen diagrams of the human body's anatomy. do you know that women have more ribs than men and they live longer?
grandmere: well, yes. aha!
little wahoo: (surprised at grandmere yelling "aha!") what is it, grandmere?
grandmere: you found one treasure!
little wahoo: i did?
grandmere: yes, little wahoo. you found science!
little wahoo: ahh! (confused)
grandmere: you see, health is part of science. it falls under biology which is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms. well, thank you, little wahoo. now, we're ready to take your photo.
little wahoo ran back to the book and struck a pose.
grandmere: so what is that page about?
little wahoo: it's about hernia of the diaphragm with organs from the abdomen ascending to the chest cavity. it's a serious type of hernia but can be repaired effectively by surgery and in most cases....
grandmere: oh, boy! now she gives me the scientific babble.
grandmere aimed her camera at little wahoo and kept clicking while little wahoo explains all the types of hernia, all in the name of the science treasure.
@summerfield Well, I did finish my science shot- but a Wahoo cousin might be something that Leigh and Cloe would enjoy hunting for in my house- sort of like "Where's Waldo" but instead, "Where's ??" Woohoo? Wheehoo? Can't be Wahoo- that's already taken!
