i developed some kind of allergic rashes overnight (chocolate overkill, maybe) but it's slowly disappearing and am not as swollen as when i woke up. i walked over to the drugstore to get some medication even though i hate taking meds. on my way, passed by the little parkette and found the birds having a nice time on the bare bushes.

the more i use this little coolpix the more i am convinced that my next camera will be a nikon. in fact i was reading on the nikon 1 yesterday and i think i like it. however, the price is quite restrictive at $999 canadian; i think it's too much money to spend on a hobby. but don't i work so i can pamper myself? don't i deserve something good, too?

ah, i hate it when i argue with me.
He's a cute little sparrow alright. Funny, after attempting to understand my "new to me" Nikon and comparing it to my Canon p & s, I am convinced that if I ever had the ability to buy a digital camera with interchangable lenses, I'd get a Canon!

Lovely shot we call our little house sparrows like this "Mossie's"so if you were small in stature at school you would get the nickname Mossie the O having the the O sound like in Obituary.
Which Nikon you looking at?I must say I debated the price difference between the D5000 and the D7000 and I am more than happy with the decision at paying nearly double for the D7000

First of all this is a beautiful catch . . your camera does an amazing job! You can debate pros and cons over cameras forever. I did treat myself to "no argument" when I upgraded. And you ARE working .. we onlly have one life, Summerfield. Couldn't begin to tell you what to get . . they're all good and it's all personal preference. I like my Nikon 3100. The camera store man helped me with bridging from my p&s to this. Easier to use than Howards, but then I wasn't ready for that leap of technology or price. My camera does a fine job and a better photographer could, no doubt, make my camera and lens "sing!" Please yourself and only yourself. And watch out for the chocolate, girlfriend! :)

I totally agree -- you DO Deserve THE BEST! Never forget that! (and yes, I understand about the chocolate....) On top of that -- this is a lovely shot of that sweet birdie!

@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. it's really a toss up between those two. the canon is so easy to use, but of course, i haven't had the opportunity to use any other canon. i bought this canon i'm using because it was almost similar in dials and function to my old olympus. but this little nikon coolpix i'm using really takes good photos. what to do!

@steeler - heck! in grade school i was the shortest which means i'd have been a mossie?!?! haha! thank you, howard. and holy camoley! the price of your camera here, just the body alone is more than a thousand dollars! [whistle!]

@karenann - thank you, karenann. no, i don't intend to spend so much money, maybe $700 tops. there was a 'bundle' sale last month of the canon but really it is still too expensive for a hobby. \

@cscecil - thank you, CS. don't we all deserve the best!
