this is the orchid plant that sits on the desk of the young associate i assist at work. do you think this is pretty? maybe i'll have this printed and framed and give it to her for easter as she had already her birthday last month. the flowers are almost at the end of their prettiness as the edges are starting to discolour. you can't tell in the photo but in person you can.
a friend told me once that the orchid is like the opposite of the anthurium. she can't stand to look at macro shots of orchids because she thinks they're obscene. :-] so i'm looking at this shot and zoomed it in and she's right, it does look like...(and this is where one of you would slap a duct tape over my mouth!)
They are beautiful and lush looking flowers! Lovely. Everyone seems to be able to grow one but me. You did a fabulous job on this . . gorgeous macro. I would definitely give it to your friend for Easter. She'll love it.
