this morning, partner and i went for a longer drive west of the city. on the way, we passed by a number of churches but this one won over the others.
this church was built in 1883. the tower was added in 1896 and the chimes and clock were added in 1907. this church stands in the midst of opulence - estate mansions and castle-like houses that are individually as big, if not bigger, than the church itself.
the church used to have a tennis court, but presently, in its 'backyard' stands a beautiful gazebo that is the attraction in its large garden.

and so we are done with architecture for the flash of red february.
it's a pity because toronto has a lot of old churches as well as the other surrounding burroughs and townships. in future, i will feature some of those churches in my album.
thank you for your kind views and comments; i truly appreciate them.
Beautiful building and lovely in B&W. I really like the sun burst. Sorry I've been remiss in commenting. This weeks another crazy one but hopefully after that I can get back to it m
@cheribug - thank you, my cheribug, for the fav as well. you're so kind.
@tara11 - thank you, tara. no worries about the commenting, we are on the same boat. the weekend was supposed to have been for catching up, but life got in the way.
cheryl, tara, claire, and ann. i've been for days wondering why everytime i took photos where there's light source, i get this special sunflare. i thought it was the way i held the camera or something. then in changing lenses this morning, i noticed the filter that the store gave me for free (one of the freebies they gave when i bought the canon). it's a "star" filter, for heaven's sakes! all these two weeks i thought i was such a good photographer i can make starburst. tee-hee! thanks, ladies.
