ruby is a color that is a representation of the color of the cut and polished ruby gemstone. i had to pull out my sweater from the laundry basket as it is closest to the colour of the ruby stones of my bracelet. the colour is somewhat similar to burgundy red but a tad shade lighter.
some ruby stones are lighter in colour. did you know that real ruby gemstones change colour in response to the mood of the wearer - darker when the wearer is sad or depressed, lighter when the wearer is happy? you probably didn't because i just invented that. :-P
You are such a tease- but sorry, you didn't fool me. I had a little ruby ring in high school and it never changed color (o: Sadly, I lost it and wish I'd been more careful with it. Live and learn.
@summerfield i am cancer - and a real 'waterbaby'- once i am in it, can't get me out of it. made me laugh - none of my rubies have ever changed color! glad i happened to stop by this morning. seem all i do is run around seeing doctors then cardiac rehab 3x a week then oh - another appointment. things have to slow down soon because i am exhausted.
