yellow forsythia by summerfield

yellow forsythia

"freedom is only attained by those who really want it." - summerfield

are these yellow forsythias? they are growing through the small openings of a very high double wooden fence.

two days ago i received a very "happy news" e-mail from jann @jannkc who is one of my first 'friends' here on 365. jann has set up her own website where she can showcase her incredible photographs. she also has 17 of her photographs on exhibit at Perham Public Library. so, if you, or anyone you know, are looking for something special to hang on your wall, you might want to visit http://jannkline.artistwebsites.com/ and have a look-see of jann's portfolio. you can also view her work on here, of course: http://365project.org/jannkc/365

jann, congratulations and good luck on this wonderful endeavour and you have my fervent wish that you succeed. just don't forget us here when you become famous. :-)
Beautiful

what a wonderful combination of colors. great capture. we know spring has arrived when these bloom. as a child, my next door neighbor, ellen's, mom pointed to their bush and told her, "look, forsythia!' and ellen promptly stamped her little foot, pouted and said, "no, for ellen!"

Yes, they are yellow and yes, it's forsythia. As far as I know that's the only color forsythia comes in. Great shot- the colors are perfectly vibrant!
