the "kajama" is a traditional 165-foot three masted schooner that offers boat cruise in the toronto harbour.
from yesterday until sunday, the tall ships festival in toronto's harbourfront is happening. i had intended to get on the ships' deck tours and cruise but when i got to the gate to claim the ticket i had reserved, i was told i only reserved for a one-day tour. how can one tour all 8 ships in just one day? and since the boats were filled to capacity, there'd be no meaningful photo opportunity so i got my refund. i will probably do that with two or three boats in the course of the summer when people's interest have tapered off.
i got a tan from walking half the waterfront trail from 1 to 3 this afternoon. the festival has a contest where you get your 'passports' stamped by the different characters from the war of 1812. i got three stamps and i would probably have my fourth and final one tomorrow or sunday morning.
