i passed by a sidewalk stall selling flowers and there were humongous calla lilies for sale for $2 a stem. somehow in the conversation with the lady, i mentioned that i was going to use the flower for photography and bemoaned that my hobby is quite expensive. she then looked in her big box and chose the largest stem with the most perfect flower.
and what do i do with it? spray it with water, expose it under heat of lamps, hang it upside down, just to find a good perspective. do you think that i should start getting a life? hahaha! i'm so deep in this i couldn't find a way to get out.
and since this is a giant calla lily, once again, little wahoo is dwarfed by a flower.
that there is a nice pov. too bad there's a cow posing beside it!
These are great flowers for lots of different angles! Little wahoo could be nibbling on that huge stigma that the lily has and get pollen all over her face!
My giant calla has loads of blooms and is strictly a volunteer plant. I once tossed the soil from a dried up flower pot and it was the result. But it is still in the green spear stage at the moment so ask me in a few weeks
As to this picture. I love the way her purple brings out the buttery yellow in the flower and I am deeply grateful that you are deep in this photography life. I love seeing your pictures and reading your words
@pandorasecho - you gotta take pics of those calla lilies, maybe a collage from just spears to full bloom. and i thank you so much for your kind words.
