in my exploration at kline creek farm when i was in illinois last weekend, i found the skeleton of what used to be a plough for tilling the fields. that means one big plough full of rust! i was taking macros of the rusty find when farmer norm came up from behind me and commented that he's never seen anyone take so much interest in that "rusty old sonamagun" pardon his language. so i had to explain to him that a lot of folks find rust attractive and artsy.
i got three bug bites on my legs shooting the 'sonamagun' and they're now soooo itchy!

I don't know if you have it up your way but I've found the best stuff for skeeter bites is a rub-on stick called "After-bite". I think it's basically rubbing alcohol- but it's great! Love the shot and the story about Norm! Hmmm...I wonder what kind of rust we will find at Niagara Falls?!
What a wonderful find! One can spend a long time finding different and interesting angles on such a monster. Tea-tree oil is very good for insect bites and helps to alleviate itching.
I just know Rita would love this @barneyone but she has a lot on her plate and is not logging in a great deal but she may pick this up.

Hi All, yes I love this rusty one. Just back from the hospital exactly the same one in which Dad died last Saturday; Mum had a seizure yesterday and is admitted for tests - life is a bit of b....... at minute. Just had ten minutes to wind down before bed so dipped in to find my name being spoken! lovely to be thought of xx
