this week's 5+2 theme is "down on the farm" and believe you me i'm stuck as to what to do.
when i was in illinois visiting my brother, we found this amish farm about 15 or so minutes from their home; we lingered for quite a while as i took my time talking to farmer norm (or farmer norm took a lot of time talking to me) and taking pictures. i had thought i'd do a selfie, but it's one thing that other people think i'm a nutter, and it's different when family is there and confirms what they know all along that i'm really nuts. hahaha!
in hindsight, i should've just gone right ahead and took a selfie. lesson learned: wherever i'd be that i can't go back to instantly, take a selfie!
so this is the old plough i found at the edge of the barns. the part on the left sticking out was my post for the rust theme a while back. http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2014-07-05 that building where i stuck my head from its window was where they stored their new ploughs and other farm implements.
We often visit Ohio Amish Country and have a super time. But it is sort of touristy and the folks there really wish to be left alone.
