we drove north-east of toronto to lake simcoe, where the lakeside is mostly privately owned, grandfathered when the law that all beaches should be public was passed. so if you can't go near the water, one is limited to the side of the road. and the zoom lens is your friend. when he saw me, the man was trying to wave me off. but i was standing on the side of the road and his boat is in the middle of the lake, all public places, buddy!
so, since i took this from the road, this is still street photography, right? :-)
in the style of elliott erwitt, the photographer/artist featured in the current artist challenge.
love this shot; fascinating how much we look at the people when most of the space is taken by boat, water and sky.
You got a challenge for me this week?
Street photography....mmmm maybe, maybe not. Waterway photography could be the new trend. Fun story. He probably thought your lens captured their faces.
