get pushed #117 - curves and verticals

francoise @francoise my partner this week, challenged me to combine curves and vertical lines.

i walked a good three blocks from the subway station to just east of chinatown to check out something and passed by this old building. i thought the arched top of the windows and the mullions (the vertical sash of the frames) make for a great response to her challenge.

i thought i saw a ghost peeking from that middle window!

also for the weekly theme-ghostly, and for the five plus two's 'between' theme this week.
Definitely a ghostly apparition in the middle window! Great lines and curves, cool symmetry. A great response to your challenge

I think that ghost is making the rounds lately.....it must be the season! ;-))) Wonderful response to the challenge; I like the light on that brick building....now, if only that electrical wire were not there....

The different colours in the bricks are rather nice and the good mantainance in the building is obvious! Great to see!

A three-fer, alright! Good job transporting yourself into the building. I would also like to not see the powerline.

this is terriific. the electric wires are just part of the landscape. It's fascinating to me how we don't see them until taking pictures. My eye is drawn in this picture to the line where the bricks don't quite line up. Another vertical line.

A really good choice for the challenge, love the arches and the colours in the brickwork, I didn't notice the ghost at first, I'm sure I've seen her somewhere before!!!
