what's in my fridge? by summerfield

what's in my fridge?

lots of chocolates, with nuts preferably, hazelnut or almonds or pecans. and the unusual stuff. like pantyhose. actually the pantyhose should be in the freezer but these i will be wearing to work this week so they're taken out of the freezer to the main fridge to "thaw". i had been doing this since the old days back in the old country. if you freeze them (when they're newly bought) before wearing, the fibre gets sturdier and they are less likely to run when snagged. a pair would last at least 10 washes before they get worn out.

shamelessly promoting the what can you see challenge's "in the fridge" theme which is being hosted by Penny Price @pennyp and myself. http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/23931/what-can-you-see-12-wcys-12 this runs until friday, november 7, so you have a few more days to put in your post. it can be something ridiculous, like pantyhose, or something pretty mundane, like food and drinks.
Do I believe you or not? Frozen stockings? You might just get cold feet with this sort of caper! I like the sound of this challenge!

OK, so I don't feel too bad about the weird stuff that I keep in my freezer!! Never heard of the "freeze your pantyhose to make it last longer" idea, and my mom has some pretty strange notions about stuff like that. However, I do keep paint brushes and rollers in there because supposedly they stay moist and supple, and you can thaw them out and reuse them with the same paint in the future!
Wonderful shot! I have been thinking about this challenge for a while, but getting my cat in the fridge has proved impossible! ;-))))

My refrigerator is quite boring compared to this!

I wish I had known that tip years ago when I had to wear pantyhose to work! I keep forgetting about this challenge. I shall have to take the camera into the kitchen!

Ok, it was Nail polish the other day from another 365er, then I learnt that the hubby kept batteries in the crisper, and now I am learning that pantyhose goes in the freezer......I am SO confused... I think I am in urgent need of a guide to good housekeeping etc.

@bill_fe - yes, it's been there for a long time. i thought i was going to have penny choose the finalists for the challenge; i put the mark so she wouldn't have to choose it. turned out she chose 3 and i chose 4 and one got eliminated so we had a total of 6 finalists. when are you going to post the song finalists? please don't choose mine.
November 14th, 2014
@summerfield Song challenge runs through Sunday. Three of my co-workers will each choose five, and I will post the ones with the most votes between the three. I suppose I can eliminate yours if they choose it. I really like it though.
