i opened a book tonight and these maple and oak leaves fell off the pages. they had been there since 2010 when the boys used to spend the weekends with me. they gathered these leaves and pressed them in between the pages of the book.
this is a three-fer. for the weekly theme "leaves"; for the six-word story challenge, and also for the technique challenge #49 which is soft focus.
@vera365 - it does. the leaves were gathered by the grandkids at a time when their parents were breaking up and they had to stay with me every weekend. they wanted to preserve the leaves so i told them to put them between the pages of the books and they chose this book. that was 6 years ago, they've grown up now and probably forgot about these leaves. thank you, vera.
Yep, this brings back memories. My mother used to press flowers between the pages of books. The soft focus implies memories for me. An excellent three-fer.
Oh, this brings back memories. My father used to do this with us. At primary school we had to make like a collection book. Loved it and makes me now want to do it with my children!
