the manor, a week later by summerfield

the manor, a week later

at least the heavy mist covering the upper half of this photo earlier has dissipated and now this is my view. the toronto skyline would be to my right and is not visible right now due to the mist.

we still have power but i'm so afraid to go down and take photos as i fear there might be a power failure and then i wouldn't be able to go back up again. 22 floors is rather steep to climb up and just thinking about it my back and my knees start to throb.

the ice on my balcony is rather thick and hard to stand on. good thing i know how to moonwalk or i'd have fallen when i almost slipped twice.

it's not really unbelievable that there's an ice storm in the middle of april. i do remember a victoria day weekend, which is the second half of may, when there was snow and it was terribly cold. snow in july? now, that would be preposterous. unless of course you're in australia or somewhere around there.
This should not be April...

A fabulous documentary photo. I hate that it is so noteworthy for you to document at thsi time of year!

I don't know much about your seasonal changes, but this snow in April does look odd. The weather in Oz is getting increasingly weird too. And the pollies just keep waffling while the world burns.

You need to put a safety belt on when you go on your patio, like the ones skyscraper window washers wear!

Could you not have opened a window??!! Stay safe to take photos like this!!

Goodness - I do hope you are not trapped on the 22 floor for long. It must be a bit unnerving to be scared to go out your home in case you cant get back. I'm rather hoping you soon see a start to spring proper.

The manor is quite an elegant building. Hope the ice and snow leave as fast as they came.

Good decision to stay put until you're sure the worst of the weather is done. I think we're finished with the snow- but our sunny warm weekend has gone and the typical cooler early Spring temps have returned. It was delightful while it lasted!
