Kew blue by boxplayer

Kew blue

These are a type of heritage breed bean known as Kew Blue (with a broad bean or two nestling among them) and they were selling them at the organic stall today. They go green when you cook them apparently - we'll find out later this evening.

Dave gave me a lift to the organic stall - good thing as the heavens truly opened this morning with some very lengthy, heavy, deluging showers. I use the term 'showers' very loosely - only in that there was a break of about 30 seconds between them. On the way back I only had a short walk from the bus stop to the flat, but my bottom half was soaked to the skin (partly because I was trying out taking puddle and deluge shots with my phone). They were all a bit rubbish.

Came home and continued the declutter regime - packing up all the overflow CDs and DVDs into boxes and removing all Dave's coursework rubbish from the table.

@judithg - they're like runner beans - eat whole - chopped up into smaller bits. And they did go green - very strange.
