Victoria Embankment gardens gateway by boxplayer

Victoria Embankment gardens gateway

Wandered round bits of Covent Garden and the Strand after work taking in the pink Wenlock and Mandeville stroll - very busy obviously but again, a very nice walk. Another bit of London I'd never really explored - the Embankment gardens - really very pretty. This gateway marks the boundary of where the river Thames came up to before they build the embankment.

Can't believe I have never seen this before. Can't even imagine where it is!

@jantan - no I'd never seen it before - that's what's been great about these Wenlock strolls, still discovering bits of London I don't know. This just at the western end of the Victoria Embankment Gardens, behind that very old wine bar at the bottom of Villiers St.

What a beautiful gate! So much texture. I love the composition and the process!
