Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
I've really struggled to take any decent photos lately and thought I'd lost my mojo. When I took this yesterday it looked fairly average but I'm happy with the way I edited it to add an extra level of interest.
I had no idea what I would end up with here, just playing with mixing different shots for the uelsmann artist challenge and I think it turned out pretty good in the end.
I've been matching my images to popular song titles for the last three weeks, which is a whole lot of work, but also a whole lot of fun. This one really moved me, both the image and the song:
I love how this image turned out, exactly as I thought it would and something different to the jeans and flower shots that have been appearing over the past few weeks
Just a memory of a happy afternoon in a beautiful place that isn't open regularly, but is one of my favourites. Also, I like the mixture of traditional antique with comfy modern.
Well, I had better pictures than this, even one that was on the PP awhile ( Curbing My Enthusiasm- water puddle shot) but this one was the most fun to take...and very different for me. I usually shoot nature pics and bug macros
I'm trying to master macro and cropping with my little hand-held point-and-shoot . . . I'm amazed at how close you can get and still have details intact.
I think I'm going to go with this one just because it was such a cool discovery - I didn't think barns like this one existed. I've seen round barns, traditionally shaped barns, etc... but never one with so many sides....
I've been working on light and shutter speed to capture that ever elusive bird photo (with not much success), so I was pleased to have a great day, my AI servo in place, and the right light.
I love ethereal feeling photos. This one I took is of a very tiny skinny caterpillar we found in the backyard. He will be significantly larger very soon.
I like this pic of Nico - my daughter's new dog who I met for the first time on 10 May. He's got such a sweet face and he was quite pleased to pose for me. he's just so lovely and very obedient.
This one I think, because I had to do a lot to get the shot in incredibly poor light without a tripod allowed, and only a non Optically Stabilized standard lens, fortunately f/1.8. Then post shoot, get rid of the huge amout of noise with the consequent ISO 6400, spruce up the colors and jiggle with the WB as shot. Surprisingly (happily) only a miniscule amount of isolated edge softening showed up throughout the frame after all that, even with f/1.8.
I would have to say this one, because I used paint on this shot. I found I had to keep watering it down to get the right opacity to make the crown. I have tried it with water and ink on previous shots lol : )
This is my fave of the week. I wasn't entirely happy with the comp and have changed slightly since posting this but I AM really happy with the colours and how clearly the seeds have come out
I chose this picture because it was so fun! Was able to take a mundane scene and see an element that I could play with and then actually have it come out decent like. Has been a great learning experience here with so many supportive and friendly folks to participate with!
@jannkc Hi Jan. Just an observation. In your introduction you talk about a "smaller" file size to save sapce on the web server. Since the "big" one on this page is only an HTML reference to something already uploaded, I don't think it has any effect on server capacity. I believe.
This is my favourite because I think it looks natural a reflects my sons predicament at the moment. H has a broken leg, and is pretty much restricted as to what he can do, so he is embracing the 365 project. This is a challenge in itself as he can really only take pictures from the car window or not far from the car if the ground is not to uneven. This was him at a local aerodrome taking a picture of a plane landing.
Lonely and forgotten? Perhaps a little cared for corner battling against encroaching nature. Who knows, but I loved the overgrown loneliness of this single gravestone tucked in the corner of Powick Graveyard...
This was an experiment that turned out to have an unexpected property (at least to my eye). People generally do selective colour, or colour popping in their image processing; for this shot I decided to use selective monochrome to try to highlight the subject from the background. Viewed large, though, there seems to be a kind of 3D effect going on here. Or is it just me?
This is my favourite picture of the week because it really reflects the mood of the woodland, its as if its saying 'please don't disturb' with the sign saying 'private woodland' I also like the way the bluebells fade out in the distance, it makes it much more colourful.
This one, maybe because of the emotions that day. It was a sunny day, we all were waiting for guests to arrive, then grilled shashliks and sat there till late evening... :)
I have taken so many recently it is hard to choose :) BUT my friend Kaylee is the reason I am back out there taking photos and I love how this came out :)
A beautiful walk and it was on this walk that I managed to actually photograph a cuckoo for the first time (I often hear them, sometimes spot them but had never managed to snap one before) so it was a great day.
I post based on a word of the day created for me. My word was Green and I just liked how the pink stood out with the green and black in the background.
This is my favorite because it was completely unplanned, but turned out so well. That, and the hand reminds me of Star Wars, and I imagine him saying, "These are not the chips you're looking for."
Sometimes they just come out exactly how you want them to. This one came close, and as I mentioned in the description the subject reminded me of the work of one of my favourite 365ers.
Having said that, my favourite "find", possibly of my whole project so far, was the daisies floating on water
It made me quite sad that I wasn't able to capture the scene as well as it deserved.
Hard to choose but i'm going to have to go with one of these two beach shots... it was a shoot we'd been planning for a while and I dont have an aweful lot of experience shooting outdoors. A quick 1 hour shoot before running off for dinner...
I was very pleased with the way this shot turned out. The colors really worked together on this one. Makes me think I could actually take some shots of food from time to time.
I love this shot. I was out shooting macros after a day long rain, it was mother's day and we were hiking in the forest for 5 hours without meeting another soul (just us and our tripods). When I got home at worked in LR, I liked the yellow clover and then saw the little guy.

Here is mine, playing with dof and liked this one!

Love the texture, color and that fact that this bowl was my great-grandmas
Best Viewed : MASSIVE!
The overall color in the composition along with the pose, and sharpness of the subject is most appealing to me.
Because at times there is nothing better than a bit of John Cleese to make you smile :-)
because I got to use my Holga for the first time in too long and I got to develop and print the photos myself - plus I had a lot of fun on the shoot!
Because it shows Spring has finally arrived - it's been a long time acoming this year!
for the quality of the light.
we've been starved of sun for so long.
Are they sharing the latest gossip there?
Because I loved the softness and delicacy of this sooc.
I love the reflections and moment
I love the lines and the red life preserver
Super narcissistic, but it's this one. I made the Cover-up I'm wearing and I'm super proud of it. :3
This sums up our season here for me and I loved the light coming through the trees :)
my first time capturing stars. feedbacks welcome! :D
I like the memory of the walk, the calmness of the evening after the heavy rain, having the beach to ourselves...
This one because it's been on my bucket list fora while, tried it a few times but this is the first time I've been happy with the sky.
Hope this works. I liked how I captured the water droplets of my favourite flower
This one, because it was my first successful long exposure shot, so it really was quite an accomplishment for me.
I just thought I nailed it :) The atmosphere, the simplicity of the flowers, the light.
this one because the fly looks like an alien...
this one is special to me
Was happy that others liked this shot enough to Fav it!
I love this thread. All of the photos are so fantastic. I love seeing them all.
Just love the simplicity of this one :)
