A strange start to the day as we discovered that the doorbell has been removed again for the second time! We have no explanation at all but there is no way it can possibly have dropped off by chance. We need to think about security.
Colin was out to golf so I took the chance to finally book his surprise trip for his birthday. I have been thinking about it and various destinations… hoping he’ll not be sneaking a peak at my 365 Project - we’re travelling in the ‘business’ class of the Eurostar to Lille for 4 nights in the only suite at a hotel in the centre. I am going to book a restaurant which specialises in duck dishes for his birthday and in a while when tickets are on sale, I will book tickets up the Eiffel Tower on the 17th as we missed out on our last trip as it was foggy! We can even pop into Brussels if the sights of Lille only keep us occupied for a day.
Late in the day I toned three tiny t-shirts for Gulliver bear for his visit to France and Italy and later in the day I popped next door for the very final feed of Whisky the cat as Vicky and Jamie return tonight.
