when we arrived at port colborne yesterday afternoon, the canada day party was well underway at the park. the park is near the marina and we found this guy practicing his waterboarding skills. he was not quite good as he fell so many times and never completed the three jumps he was attempting to make. first he had to jump from the water to that beam, then to the water to turn around and jump on the first platform (or whatever you call that thingamajigger), land on the second platform then on to the third. each time he fell. this was his fifth try, he barely made this platform then promptly fell on the water and couldn't make the last jump. well, it was practice for him, and it was practice for me, too, with my camera. i was trying for the panning shot, but didn't quite get it.
one thing i noticed is that i get tense when i'm taking photos, especially on something like this. i think i might stick to landscape shots or still-lifes. but i made progress with my drive-by shots :-)
