the straw hat (inspired by the works of tamara de lempicka)
sophie la rue (remember her? http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-01-19 ) arrives into town when temperatures are searing unbearably high and the cool waters of lake ontario sizzles as she dips her toes. the men cast furtive glances, the more daring ones openly stare and gawk, while the women seethe in envy of the power of her beauty.
but you know, her presence means there's trouble brewing and she's the only one who can stop it. or maybe her presence is causing it.

i don't quite know yet where i'm going to take the story of sophie la rue, but my young friend likes to pose as sophie la rue. we got fried at lunchtime during our photo opp as the relative temperature was 42 celcius. the hat sale was still on so i bought another hat that i could leave in the office; two for one this time. my friend will be going to florida on vacation in three week's time and she needed a hat. she's happy she gets to keep the prop!
there are three shots that i like and i'm still mulling if i will post all three. i'm still mulling, meanwhile i like this one so this gets posted.

Love the beautiful portrait capture of her ... your friend is beautiful. Gorgeous lighting and love the mysterious pov. AND the hat!! You must keep writing and do something with that story. :)
