calla lilies (inspired by the works of tamara de lempicka)

the calla lilies are proving to be very useful for my album. this is another entry for the ongoing artist challenge.

this doesn't look like i ETSOOI'd it but i actually did: hdr-ish and fade 2x, soften 2x, b&w then fade (the two yellows were too yellow!), then soften again 2x. i think this is close enough to the colour of lempicka's painting. the only framed photo i have around the house (why is that? i wondered today) is what you see here. mind you, i could've used a box of girl guide cookies but i was going for the dramatic and not comedic. so i just ate the cookies.

this is the original this photo is based on: http://www.tamara-de-lempicka.org/Arlette-Boucard-with-Arums,-1931.html

I love the processing on these beautiful lilies. Gorgeous soft look and colors ... you did a great job. And there's your lovely Mom ... wonderful composition.

@karenann - whoa! i'm looking at this for the first time and i think i overdid the soften button. if i had known i should've just shot the darn thing out of focus. hehehehe! but i got the colours almost right. thank you, karenann.

love the processing -- and the picture of you and your mother so soft in the background -- very lovely!
