is downtown toronto. see the bright building on the right? that's the royal bank plaza building where our legal firm holds offices in toronto. even on a dull day like today, the building glistens and that's because, apparently, the glass windows of the building are coated in 24-carat gold sheets. i just don't know if, on a windy day, a glass falls on you whilst you walk on the pavement, you might be able to keep the gold sheets. probably not because in all likelihood...well, 'you' is hypothetical, of course.
@cheribug Uh oh Cheryl, then never drive through Atlanta, GA! We have interstates going througn and around the city that have 8 or more lanes. It is nuts.
Vikki, I have heard you talk about this building of gold! That is so amazing! If it fell on you, you'd be ....dead. Right? Hee hee
Very nice Skyline shot Vikki. I had to take a sceond look when I saw the power lines running through there like that. I am not used to seeing lines above the ground in large cities
@cheribug - come on, it's only a 3-lane highway, the fourth lane leads to the exit ramp. i can drive from toronto to carol stream west of chicago in 8 hours give or take. but i have a cardinal rule when i do: don't drive in downtown chicago as it is worse than downtown toronto. in fact, toronto's traffic is tamed compared to chicago. although if i had driven around new york city, chicago would probably be tamer. as the song goes, if i can make it there, i'll make it anywhere! hahaha! thank you, cheryl.
@espyetta - dead as nail, my friend. then what use is the gold sheet eh? tee-hee! thank you, MB.
@bkbinthecity - one of my laments when i shoot buildings around here: too many hydro lines! thank you, brian. i promise i shall catch up on your album soon.
Bustling place to be sure! This skyline reminds me of others- but of course I don't know too many skyscrapers that have gold plated windows! Nice shot.

@orangecrush - 24-carats, really! thank you, jerry.
