on a cold saturday morning on the danforth, this guy was stopping every passerby to sell newspaper subscriptions, in front of a bridal shoppe, the passing cars and stores across the street reflected on the bridal shoppe's glass windows.
for the artist challenge, in tribute to the photographer saul leiter, who recently passed away.
@summerfield - good for rolling into a cigarette later or displacing tear gas at a football match. (Just some of the PNG uses for newspapers I see here)
This is a nice shot! & I get these people knocking on my door all the time! NO! I don't want to buy your newspapers and/ or magazines!!! I try to avoid them at all costs!
@bobfoto - here, the homeless gather it for blanket or mat to sleep on park benches. or they re-sell them ten days later for a dollar. at least they give something in exchange for the money.
@megstorey - partner here has two newspaper subscriptions. takes out the sports section, reads it from front to back. gives the rest of the paper to me which i throw in the recycling. if i want news i go online or i go on 365. :-) thank you, meg.
@678tabby - thank you, june.
