flower

the same flower as in my main album, only i slipped in a black background to see how they translate to black and white. both were shot in natural light, the window to the upper right. same settings but the exposure decided to change itself. shot in manual and processed in-camera.

see the shot with white background http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2015-02-01

so which one appeals to you? i like them both that's why they both got posted. :-)
Beautiful capture of this tulip, great lighting. Looks great in B&W.

I prefer this one. It really accentuates the tulip.

I think I like thm both too! this one is more dramatic because of the greater contrast with the background but the other is also gorgeous!

I like both but prefer the black

This one is nice, but my eye is drawn to the curled edges, and as such I would have preferred a tighter crop, especially getting rid of all that stuff on the lower left!

I like them both! This time of year the color is a welcome sight but I'm a sucker for black and white. It's a tie for me!

This one is more dramatic and the tulip seems to pop. I think this is my preference

Really can not pick out which I prefer

I like it much better with the dark background! It creates such a nice contrast with the petals, while picking up the dark from the middle of the flower. Great.

I like both, but this one gets the nod from me. I details of the tulip pop more in this one.
