30 days of composition's assignment for today is "no foreground." "An image has a foreground, a subject and a background, unless you choose to exclude one of them. Try and create an image with no foreground - it can help focus your attention on the subject."
yesterday's photo reached the 4K milestone for me on here. too many photos, methinks! the only other person i know who has more than 4K photos is ann lefevre @olivetreeann who has 5.5K.
as this is an exercise, no need to comment. but if you do, i humbly thank you.
4,000 photos. Congratulations Vikki! I appreciate @30pics4jackiesdiamond query of how many photos you actually took to end up with 4,000. I know if it were me, the number would be mind boggling, I delete so many photos.
Impressive accomplishment and impressive response to your challenge! I love that you are still pushing yourself. This is a beautiful composition and a clever way to achieve the goal
I agree with the others. It is good you are still pushing yourself to learn more. You have definitely been an inspiration to me. Congratulations on the 4,000 mark.
@louannwarren@30pics4jackiesdiamond - going by the shutter actuation of my first dslr, about 100,000. when i first started, going for a walk around the neighbourhood for about 2 hours, i'd come home with at least 500. if we went on a long drive, it was easy to take a thousand or more. now i am more conservative when i go on an outing as i've learned to compose on the spot and i survey the subject first before i take a photo. if i come home with 500 shots that's too many but it depends on how interesting the place was. last Saturday i only took 25 shots, yesterday just 4.
I am in awe of your commitment with 4k photos. All with something to offer your reader. Congratulations. Don't stop now! You are one of my favourite people to follow - always something to admire, a fascinating story, something amusing, something clever, or educational. Here is to the next 4k. I've never thought about the composition in the way you describe - with a foreground.
Congratulations on reaching the 4,000 photo milestone! Here's to 4,000 more. ;} How interesting to see an image without a foreground. We kind of take it for granted, don't we? It causes my eye to focus more on the height of the grains instead. I like that they're all different and interesting lengths.
