Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
I did a waterfall series last week and this is my favorite of the series (and of the week) - it is a crop of a larger image I had posted the day before. The crop was suggested by my friend, Carole - she has a great eye!
This one of my daughter - because the shoot was unexpected, she was amazingly cooperative, the setting sunlight was helpful and she's just beautiful in every way.
Has to be this one as it made the PP - many thanks to all who helped put it there. It had been a frustrating day and all the stress dissolved in 15 mins at this location :)
I keep studying, and they say shoot what you know. I feel I restrain myself from shooting and posting off my back deck all the time, but this boy made it a wonderful moment.......
Because I don't really like selfies but hubby took me out late a night to get this silly shot, I suppose this week I will take a selfie in 6 feet of snow~sigh~ I miss spring
I work with teenagers ( have taught 7-12 grades for 23 years) and I love that I caught in three shots their mercurial nature; disinterest, to disbelief, to laughter. And I love the blond girl trying to hold it together :)
I really wish I knew what was on that iPhone!

spent nearly an hour shooting this little one and his friend every time I would start walking away they would fly in front of me and pose, turned a run of the mill walk into something special
This one because it is of my dog Sid who I adore, my husband in his wellies whom I also adore. Also, with the Six Nations Rugby well underway, the story fits in well with this weekends activity (mainly watching Rugby, rugby and more rugby....)
wow... I didn't realize how good this past week was for me until it came time to pick my favorite from my project. I can't pick just one (I managed to get it narrowed down to Failed Sobriety Test, Magical Winter Day, Knock Knock Noir and this one that I'm posting on this thread because at 273 views, 84 comments and 42 faves is right up there with the upper echelon of the top 20, so as a thank you to all that faved it, I'm picking it for my favorite of my project - also because I put a lot of work in it *big grin*)
"Fog of war":
I like it simply because, like @northy , it came out exactly as I'd hoped. It took me a few attempts to really capture what I wanted, but it was worth it.
I battle with people photography - don't like invading people's privacy and private space ... I was actually focussing on the instrument here, but the camera deviated and focussed on the hands playing the guitar instead - fleuk portrait with expression!
I'm choosing this one from February 2nd because it's like a farewell photo that my camera gave me right before I dropped it and killed it. I couldn't have asked for a better camera and I go and kill it and even then, it still gave me a few great shots... Although I don't expect that it predicted its eventual demise. R.I.P. my dear M550.
This is my fave, I just really liked (and was surprised by) the detail in this image of a small icicle hanging from a friends rusty old shed. Not mad for an Instagram shot!
It has to be this one. . .my "crystal". . .and although I used Photoshop to clean up the black velvet just a bit, the snowflake itself was pure and simply the way Mother Nature sent it to me!
Similar to Lyn above, my favourite is my snowflake from this past week. I gave myself a goal of getting this shot and was happy with this one. Even sold it as a small print to a client. :)
This is my fav of the week because of the personal significance it holds for me... I have a tradition of taking these pictures at the cabin and each one has come to symbolize where I'm at internally during that time.
This is my favorite photograph this week because the little red squirrel seems to be telling a story over dinner. Or maybe he's telling me how cold it is and it wants to come inside!
Fave cause I have wanted "little people" for a while an I finally bought some, stoked with the result it was my 2nd photo of this project (and this week!!) to make it to pp. I love it!
I am a sucker for reflections and loved how this one came out. I also realized later that it made a letter"O." The shot the day before inadvertantly had a "Z" in it. These convinced me to look for and try to find the whole alphabet this year. Wanna join me? Tag your letters: alpha-2013.
It is grainy, the colors are off, but I like it. This is at a House Concert and the lighting is a mix of incandescent, halogen and florescent, none of them very bright. The background is a DVD case and a sheet hanging over the TV on the wall. Not a good shooting location, but the music is good.
I love this one because it was a result of collaboration on here! Summerfield (Vikki) suggested I invert this pic, so I did, and posted it the next day. I like how the bark looks like thin wisps of paper peeling off.
Am trying to take pictures of "wind" in February and on the 2nd was standing out on a frozen lake taking pictures of ice golfers so I was sure that I would get a wind shot but tournament was charity event in name of my son's best friend who died at 9 yrs old and found this yellow golf ball all by itself away from the crowd reflected in the ice. It made me think of young Fred and that became the only shot I could think of.
Looking back on this week, I'm amazed at how much I feel like my photography and my thinking about photography have improved in the past 40 days. I'm pretty proud of this week, but I think this one's my favorite.
despite this being my most popular picture eva! it was actually a close race for my favourite this week between this and the swan, but im going with this one cause the responce to it has made me warm and fuzzy all week and i finally got a result i was happy with after 7 hours (2 nights) of experimenting :)
It's the quietness of this photo that I like so much. It didn't grab me until I really looked closely at it. I love everything about the barn and I like the composition.
Because I'd been thinking about the poem all day, and this shot in town on my lunchbreak really worked with the words. Loving how 365 is making me look at the world differently!
The light was just right for capturing the detail of the feathers of this crow. As a bonus there is a tiny water droplet hanging from his beak (visible in large view on black background).
I like this shot because of the lighting and the tone. I didn't expect it to come out good like this at all, and what I thought would be a failed picture actually turned out to be something I liked!
Because if you look at it large you can see the entire flake is in focus, it's just such a translucent flake that it doesn't stand out like the thicker whiter flakes.
bad framing, too much light, horizontal lines not good BUT it made me laugh so much....imagine you enter in your kitchen and you see a pair of legs from the cupboards...
This was my favorite photo of my project last week, because I loved what the sky was doing! Those rainbow colors were all-natural. No photoshop tricks. ;-)
This is my favorite of the week, but also since I started 365 January 1. I like how simple it turned out and the little shadow at the bottom that is actually another stamen but out of focus.
I like this one because my Little Hoo and I both saw the same thing...and it gives other people the chance to see some Boo vision :-) It was fun.
I got this one yesterday. It reminded me of a painting w/ the snow coming down.
@jannkc
Because it is a one-off view of our park under water. And I just love Poplar trees
Because I don't really like selfies but hubby took me out late a night to get this silly shot, I suppose this week I will take a selfie in 6 feet of snow~sigh~ I miss spring
I really wish I knew what was on that iPhone!

(been busy busy busy and really lazy :P)
The kids are so beautiful!

These are the inks I've been playing with a lot lately. One of my scrapbook layouts also got commented on by the lady that makes these inks!
I like this one, I had never seen so much ice !
Ha I only have one! And a rather poor one it is at that! :)
Portrait: Abducted by Aliens
I like it simply because, like @northy , it came out exactly as I'd hoped. It took me a few attempts to really capture what I wanted, but it was worth it.
I've been trying to work on my tones, that's why this is a fav for me plus it's a bud on my tree, I hope Spring is coming soon!
Fave cause I have wanted "little people" for a while an I finally bought some, stoked with the result it was my 2nd photo of this project (and this week!!) to make it to pp. I love it!
Loved to try out studio gear for the first time :)
Love early mornings photos, and i think i'm starting to master taking cars lights love it, any advice how to take people the same thanks
Gives me a warm feeling to see the sun peek through the tree.
Film: Lomography Tiger 110
Camera: Minolta Weathermatic-A
I like the challenge of flight shots, and I got lucky with this one.
I am happy with the detail
because I love the colour

I feel like I was seeing things a bit differently with this one and really saw it before I took the photo.
I really like this one. Mainly because I've never done an astract-y shot before, and the other reason is because it was a happy mistake. =D
a happy accident that led me to explore the funky world of bokeh!
Just love the colours I managed to make with a little tweaking after only using my point and shoot!
..
This is mine just because I love his expression.
This one I was expecting pastel colours, not this explosion of hypnotic colours
Because I'd been thinking about the poem all day, and this shot in town on my lunchbreak really worked with the words. Loving how 365 is making me look at the world differently!

Happy Valentine 2 U all :)

This one - I took it months ago but I still find it haunting and I keep going back to it.
Because for a quick shot I was really pleased with the results. And I got to eat it!
2. I had never seen the underpart of a swan's beak.
3. It made the PP
I like watching my son learn how to swim, this one reminded me of when I learned how to skateboard years ago...a very freeing experience.
This is the most stunning photo I took this week!
