Early birthday cake

My sisters brought back this lovely chocolate cake from Fortnum and Mason as an early birthday cake for me.

Worked from home as did T and B on and off through the day. B went to collect mum later and S arrived. Drove to Gökyüzü for an enormous Turkish meal - meze platter, kebabs and a whole sea bream for me.

Back home, T and S wheeled out the lovely chocolatey fudgey cake with a candle for me to blow out - delicious with raspberries. N also arrived after his Friday night dinner bearing a limited edition Gunpowder gin in a beautiful pottery bottle. But I was so tired, I left them chatting and drinking calvados downstairs.

3 food things
1.Cardamom buns from Fortnum and Mason as a pre-dinner snack.
2.Turkish meze.
3. Chocolate cake with raspberries.
