Millbank Estate by boxplayer

Millbank Estate

I've taken pics of these characterful flats around Tate Britain before now - they're all named after famous British artists. Have just discovered also that they were constructed from bricks recycled from the enormous Millbank penitentiary that stood on this site in the 19th century, the huge perimeter ditches of which are still visible http://www.flickr.com/photos/ayla63/6911580577/.

Lots more showers today as you can see.

How fascinating! I love odd things like that! I suppose now you've said it that they do look like prison bricks - pretty colour nevertheless.

These large puddles have their uses, you can't see where one ends & the other begins! Love that door & beautiful windows.

This is fabulous too! Catching up with a few missed shots from friends. This looks like a shot from the @rich57 class :-) From Mondays perspective looks like you were right about the good weather coming, so @sparkle should have had a good bbq!
