Andy Cutting from Blowzabella plays his thing. Started the day off dancing to Blowzabella – lots of European dancing and set ceilidh dances. Excellent music and fun dancing even though we were bloody knackered before it was half-way through. Lots of drizzle and showers today but not half as bad as it was supposed to be. Some more persistent stuff later on but even then it wasn’t continuous.
After Blowzabella, rushed to catch Faustus and then Anna drove me back to the hotel so I could pick up my melodeon. We came back and caught a bit of the Treacherous Orchestra – loud, multi-instrumented Scottish band – good fun but seemed to become a bit samey after a bit so we left and went to the French music session in the Berwick Pavilion bar. Quite jolly and gradually picked up as more musicians arrived. In fact it became fairly mayhemic with all sorts of tunes being played way too fast and going off at tangents as one half of the room found it hard to hear what the other was playing. Still mega fun though. Dave stuck it through for a bit but then left me and Anna to return to the hotel.
We finally left about 10.30-ish (quite early but Anna had to drive home). Felt odd going to bed earlier than midnight.
