Possibly the coldest day yet so far - definitely in the minuses this morning and no sun, just a lot of mist and cloud.
A day full of the traditions of the season including queuing for far too long in the post office to send off a packet. More enjoyable was the annual visit from the local primary school to sing carols in our atrium with their over-the-top conductor-teacher.
And then of course, the work Christmas lunch. This year it was in Kazan, a very good Turkish restaurant near Victoria. A very splendid feast it was too, so glad I had that enforced fast on Monday when I was unwell - had enough calories in the bank to see me through: a selection of hot and cold meze dishes, prawn kebabs and a selection of what can only be described as pudding meze. Plus two champagne cocktails and the obligatory secret Santa - my present was the almost indescribably exciting 'paint your own garden gnome' kit.
Had a quick Jamiesons in the Warwick after but then left them to it. I suspect they're still there.
