I'm curious to know. Many 365ers have a plethora of fav's, but can you name the select handful that still stand out to you, the ones you think are simply extraordinary, even if they were taken ages ago?
@rich_t
So much of this works for me. The POV, the dyed blonde hair, the solitary pigeon, the tones... hard to explain what makes it so ultimate to me, but ultimately it is!
From the amazing Robin Warner, who surprised us with a cameo appearance the other day, but sadly no longer posts here. I could pick a number of her street shot's as well but this was always a powerful image. This was fav'ed on my first account here in June 2011.
It is really hard for me to pick one but this shot did pop into my head. When we visited NYC many years ago, one of the things I remember most were all the Taxi Cabs. This one of Michael Elliot's @michaelelliot really struck me and brought back memories.
@tanja_1211 Wow Tanja I'm stunned... very flattered that you'd suggest mine is up there. Funny how sometimes the photos you never expected would go over well are well received and sometimes the ones you're sure are going to blow people away hardly get noticed. Ah well... thanks!
Unfortunately, the majority of my favs no longer post (and I hardly have any @janim or @westcoastwallis favs since they deleted their original accounts). I think @asrai is still here.
@jsw0109 Jeff, I don't know what to say, but thank you! A photographer of your caliber choosing one of my photos as one of your faves, is certainly an honor, and it means a lot to me. You have made the close of my first year extra special!
anything by @guaranteed is almost always a favorite of mine. this shot especially is powerful, it has so much soul in it. @captivebylife isn't on here anymore, but I've always adored his work.
Almost impossible to choose only a couple or 3 because I am so moved by so many but I love these
this one by @maiuniverse because I REALLY want to go to Bolivia and see this
Still my favourite selfie by Jason @bobfoto
And this one by Jerry @orangecrush , is amazing and I keep coming back to it
and also almost anything by @janim but unfortunately my all time favorite faves by him have gone.
When it comes to my faves, one artist seems to always appear in my pick of the week. And I'm not talking about The Seven. @houdiniem has consistently blown me away with her creativity and here is her latest.
This is so difficult but if I had to pick a few it would be these:
I am sorry to everyone else, but this one by Kevin has to be my Fav Fav. @beeblebear
When I read this thread, there was one shot by Lisa that I remembered and thought it had to be the winner, but surprisingly I have forgotten to FAV it at the time. I have fixed that now so have to include this shot. @mummarazzii
and not forgetting any shots of Mike's Hover-Dogs. @caddick
In over a year I have not picked many favs but I was looking at mine the other day and I was surprised at the consistency, they could of been shot by one person give or take a Peter de Graff lasndscape. Seems I am developing taste if not style!
One that is a wonderful childhood shot by Clare @clarek
One because I would like to get it by Skip @skipt07
And one because if I do anything in Photography as part of my future I would like to do photos like this for families to remember. By Tone @tolito
@mittens - Marilyn thank you so much for the honor of thinking of this photo of mine :-) I think I see taxi cabs in my sleep they are such a part of NYC.
@frankhymus - Frank thanks very much for thinking of this shot of mine to mention here. I've past it so many times and thought it be great to shoot up from down in that plaza and glad I did.
@calm - Cathy thank you for recalling and posting this photo of mine. Its certainly an original! I've tried to recapture that magic but not the same as that moment. And its one of my most requested prints :)
@jannkc
Jann: Wow, I'm so honored to even be mentioned here. Thank you so much!
I'm having a slow period right now, but I'm trying to find new inspiration. This helps a lot!!
What a great thread, really loved going through my old favs and rediscovering some great photos. The one that really stands out for me is this one by @lanir - she hasn't posted for a while but hopefully will return.
What a great thread.... I have really enjoyed looking back through my faves.. how often do we get time to do that? So many gorgeous shots that I remember and so many I had forgotten... Countless beautiful skies and seas, wonderful moments captured but I'll go with this one, which was the first that sprang to mind by Jason @bobfoto - it sums up so much of the fun and eye-opening experience I have here
@bobfoto Yay! With so many faves, comments and views I imagine it one of the ultimate 365ers faves if not the biggest. Now that could be a whole new thread for another day..... :)
I have also throughly enjoyed looking back over my favs. A couple that stand out are:
by @canberrabec from early 2011, which I recently mentioned in another discussion. She was so full of inspiration.
by @giselle with a commentary you must read. Another oldie but I'm pleased to say she's back, and she has such a way with her stories that go with her photos she's a must to follow ;)
One of the many by @arielmagyawejr that I've faved, such an amazingly creative sole but sadly not around on this site anymore.
@exposure4u Wendy makes every scene come alive in a way you couldn't imagine possible.
This one by @alisonp is an all time fav and you can tell why- the deep evening blues make it look almost surreal and add the colored lights and it's just magic!
I have narrowed it down to 5 ... each one Touches Me in a Different way ...I guess that's what really makes this Project so Attractive and Addictive ... In no particular Order...
I got " No Clue " ... I guess you just have ta follow him and Know Him a Bit ta Understand ... @digitalrna href="http://365project.org/digitalrn/album3/2012-06-06">
@kiwichick Oh wow, Lesley!! Thank you so much for including me in your ultimate fav!! I feel so honored and humbled!! Thank you so much for your comments too!
@lonewolfman Ha, gee whiz, completely missed on this one, but thanks a million for posting that. That goes back a bit. With my schedule I do not get to check on these threads like I should.
So much of this works for me. The POV, the dyed blonde hair, the solitary pigeon, the tones... hard to explain what makes it so ultimate to me, but ultimately it is!
