There are many buildings, be they castles, churches, temples, mosques, stately homes etc etc. The list could go on infinitum. Another way to classify buildings is residential, commercial, or industrial. The buildings may remain the same, however, the change in seasons and even weather is reflected in both the building itself and its surroundings.
As far as I am aware there has never been an architecture challenge or anything similar and for this reason I am proposing this challenge. For the opening round, I would like to keep the topic as broad as possible and include the whole building with surrounds or specific parts of a building. Entries can include monochrome or colour; the only criterion is that the subject matter must be a building or part of a building. If the challenge is successful and continues then hosts may refine or extend the subject matter, as they deem appropriate.
As it is a new challenge, I have not specified a period within which photographs must be taken, hopefully attracting entries that are both new and old.
I propose running the challenge until the 15th of December 2023, after which I will select finalists for a vote.

Do other structures like bridges, tunnels, locks, etc count too or do you want us to focus (haha, unintentional pun) on buildings?
Also, you mentioned you were hoping to attract old as well as new entries-- do you want us to tag previous uploads in our albums or does that just mean that we can upload previously taken photos that we haven't shared yet?

I would say for this challenge, stick to buildings. As the challenge progresses it will of course be open to each host to redefine the subject matter.
As far as this challenge - any photographs that you have taken, it may represent a new post on the forum or an existing one.
