this morning by summerfield

this morning

mornings have started to have decent temperatures conducive to running or jogging. i like the feel of the morning air and to have the sunlight on my face. the dog days of summer's gone and we're inching towards autumn.

my sleep always depends on the light of the sky. my body knows when it is light outside so that in the summer, no matter how late i've gone to bed, i wake up at 5:30 because then the sky is already light.

so i went for a jog quite early and lugged my camera with me. i had bought a set of macro filters and tested one of them on the grass at the little parkette near my building. it has been raining since yesterday and some misting overnight so that the grasses are like diamond jewelry, the dew drops on their blades glistening in the early morning sun that has managed to shine through the thick threatening clouds. from the looks of this photo, you wouldn't believe that it has started to rain an hour after.

so that's the one significant and important thing i did this morning.

as usual, i thank you for your untiring visits and generous comments; they are so important to me. of late, i have thought about curtailing my time here, but i am so deeply in love with photography that i find myself instantly moseying on down 365. the irony is i came to 365 in the hopes that i would find my writing muse, but now it's my writing muse who's begging me to put into paper (or screen) all those stories floating around inside my brain.
Wow cool shot... still so hot here that it's breaking all kinds of records. Wish I liked running but at least I like walking and riding my bike. Not much of that happening with this weather though. Enjoy your jog and keep taking pictures and writing stories...looks great viewed large

This is stunning Summerfield. Beautiful color, lighting, composition. The drops are perfect. Fav. I'd actually be a bit sad if you left, but following your muse, and more importantly, your heart is what matters. Life is funny. The big things in this world are sometimes related to the little moments. Like when you've lost something, your keys for instance. You search and search, but can't find them. You get more frustrated. Finally you open a drawer, and find a camera battery you thought you lost a year ago. A strange sense of calm hits, frustration gone. You grab the keys on the counter, cause of course they were there the whole time, and you head out the door. You're writing is great, and fascinating. Maybe 365 is a way of making you believe that in yourself, giving you peace of mind to tackle that muse without trepidation. Sorry for the ramble. My mind is not itself this week. Too much sleep. Lol
