Mum chose a selection of there salads for lunch. I had the vegan breakfast on toast - mistakenly ordering it instead of something else but it ended up being very nice despite the beetroot hummus.
Seemed like a busy non-working day: booked a hotel and afternoon tea for my big birthday; went to mum's and on to Crouch End after that for lunch; and back to pack for a day working in Sheffield and another weekend away.
Sent an email to the flat freeholder, the other leaseholder and the café downstairs about the scaffolding needed for the windows. Predictably the café kicked off because they'll lose a few days of custom. Had to flag the health and safety issues. Hope they don't cause problems - window man says it will be a week.
Baked potatoes for supper then off to a session in Enfield. We knew it would be quiet, but was just four of us.
3 good things
1. I checked in on the tenants and they're still alive and haven't succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
2. The Power - adaptation of Naomi Alderman's novel about girls who suddenly get the power to release electricity from their fingers - proving to be very well made and gripping.
3. Sleeping fox in the sunshine in the garden all afternoon.
