Created in 1986 by Paul Waplington - a mosaic made from 30,000 bricks from the image of an actual Sheffield steelworker.
Working in Sheffield today, an early start to catch the 7.30 train from St Pancras. James couldn't make it in because of a sick child, but Jess and Ros were in. Lunch at Kommune - halloumi wraps - then wine at the Millowners Arms after work and a pizza in Isabellas (obviously an apostrophe-free zone).
3 good things
1. Was just early enough at St Pancras to get tea and a cheese toastie from Starbucks.
2. Wine in the sunshine.
3. Kelham Island - a really interesting historic and now hip part of Sheffield.
@kjarn amazing! Very historic part of the world - not pretty, but lots of interesting industrial history, good vibe and close to beautiful countryside.
