The unmistakable blue of denim. Most of us have a pair of these in our wardrobe. And most of us know the origin of the word: originally made in Nîmes, France, serge de Nîmes was a cotton twill cloth made of wool and silk which later became known simply as 'denim' from 'de Nîmes'.
That’s interesting! Had no idea where the name denim came from - learn something every day. Lovely shot of the denims, just feel like sticking my hand in that pocket!
Originally created as workwear I believe, my Dad could never understand why people wanted to wear a material used for overalls - but I think he was in the minority. Still as popular today as the previous decades. An ideal blue shot.
Demin is so timeless. I did not know the history though so thank you x
