I have seem some amazing insect shots around and thought it cant be that hard so I ventured out to do it too. Well I actually that IS hard, you gotta have the right settings the patience to sit there and get the best photos.
So this morning while outside in the sunshine with my kids playing, I noticed a bee and went to take its photo and he flew away, so I waited and he came back...and landed on the grass in front of me, PREFECT so i gave it a go, i changed my settings alot to get the right photo.
Here is my final shot that Im very happy with, what do you think?
Here are some insects. I visit the parks or mangrove forest to look for them. It's better to look for insects in the early morning when they are less active. (As the sun warms them up, they become more active.) Sometimes, I would just squat and wait, and look out for tiny movements on the grass or leaves that I otherwise would not be able to see if I was standing or walking around. I hope these tips help. 8)
@kiwigirl04 That's a great shot! Bees can be tough to capture because they fly from spot to spot quickly! Here are a few of my fave insect shots I have done.
but personally i prefer these ones...
