this afternoon

on the way to the market this afternoon, i had my photo taken so i can apply for a new passport. my existing one expires in december and i intend to cross the border to see my best friend in october and we meet up in las vegas. i needed to kill time before the photos were ready so i moseyed on down to the market and bought my week's supply of raw nuts.

i pass by this park on my way to and from the market. it is always quite engaging to walk through there. there is a large water fountain, lots of flowers, lots of grass. this is the park where the berckzy statue is to the south http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2012-02-27 and the flatiron mural to the north http://365project.org/summerfield/365/2011-04-07

tomorrow, i go to the passport office to put in my renewal-application.

that's my day today. when you're a legal assistant, there's not a lot of excitement in your life. i like it that way.

What type of law do you work in? Owning a recruiting business myself occasionally I've recruited in the legal field but I do much more in accounting/finance - probably even more exciting heh?

@myhrhelper - thank you, kathy. we deal in business law. nothing exciting about that. now, there was a time when i was out of work and was temp-ing for an agency, i got assigned to a law firm that did family and divorce laws - that was exciting! but depressing, too, when children are involved though.

Oh that would be a hard and depressing to me. I own a business and business law sounds very interesting. I don't do temp only direct hire/perm positions. I've been working on finding a Trust & Estate Paralegal - they will relocate for it - GREAT large company
