Sorry- forgot to post this yesterday- thanks to Jeff Walker for the reminder.
Post your favorite photo of your own project from this past week to share with those that may not otherwise see it. Lets also put WHY or WHAT about it you like.
There were some really great photographs last week. It is fun to see what you like of your posts as it is not always what everyone else chooses.
There are two easy ways to add pictures on to the discussion.
The first is a full size photo: 1) Click on your favorite photo and bring up its page. 2)Look at the right side of your monitor, and go to the word SHARE (it is below tags) 3) go to the box and copy the long address 4) Come back to the discussion, and then paste.
The second is to have a smaller file size so to keep the site from getting overwhelmed. http://365project.org/discuss/general/1323/how-to-adding-an-image-in-a-discussion.
As it is film had to visualise, there is no LCD on back of camera. Was only one shot, and took as my interpretation of Dupain's famous photo. Loved the colour outcome
Because this was the last shot I took of the hummingbirds in my garden before I moved from the house I had lived in for the past 12 years, plus I loved how the sun was flashing on this little guy's throat feathers. It was much more impressive in person though!
this one for sure... all that yummy mist, plus i got the guy in there... plus i shot in RAW (taking my second run at it) and kind of felt like i had some control - and liked the result :)
Probably this one. It was taken on a photo outing with a group from my photography club, so the camaraderie was nice. As for the photo itself, I like the reflections of the lights on the furniture, and the absolute emptiness of the chairs and landscape despite the claim of "99 Billion Sold."
because this was the split second shot from when they touched beaks and formed a heart reflection on the water (which obviously i didn't catch) and a reminder of that missed opportunity
I in no way have such dynamic photos as the ones I'm seeing here (you guys wow me!)... But I like how this photo just happened organically.
It is a filler shot, taken before posted, but for a reason. Charlie has been missing for over a week now. We miss him dearly and are quite worried. But we're not losing hope!
Because I actually had an idea before taking the picture and wasn't just shooting randomly! I also liked the fact that I attempted shooting still life which I haven't tried before. There's a first time for everything!
This is my shot from the 16th. I was happy with it because I didn't have to do a lot of clean-up in post processing. It also conveys the idea of "clean" to me--must be because of the water and white background.
I had a fairly good photography week. I have been working on getting scenic shots and doing B & W shots. I shot this one while traveling in a car. I was happy with how this photo turned out.
I shot the photo of this bird through my window. I like the detail of the feathers, the colors and the way the angle of the tree limbs is repeated by the posture of the Varied Thrush.
Because it was my first time attempting to capture individual snowflakes and I had a greater degree of success than I had expected. I also love the fact I managed to enhance the appearance of the image while making some adjustments in ACR, you can actually tell these flakes are crystals.
Was going to post my dew drops especially after the great comments but I was so excited about capturing this one with fish in mouth and the water skips
Although "Flock of Seagulls" received accolades, I really liked this shot. I grew up with Classic Pooh stories, books, and stuffed animals; I couldn't wait for this daily theme! I really liked how the angle and colors turned out.
I am really getting into minimalism and that is one thing I love about this photo. The other is that the photo itself looks dirty which is a bit ironic with the subject matter (a broom)
I'd love to do 2 because I have 2 favorites for this week...
This one because it's rare that you have fog in January here in snow country so it makes for a great winter shot with a fall feel to it:
And this one because this is the very next day and the temperatures were in the 50s and I went to get my mail in a t-shirt, whereas the day before when I took the shot of Winter Fog, I was in a jacket, scarf and hat. I just happened to bring my camera with me and looked up and saw the most beautiful clouds formed in the sky all at the same time that I'd ever seen:
I like the mood of this one- that you have to search a little for what's going on. Also, the subject matter is obviously something we can all relate to :)
I photographed this mansion last year and did a return visit for my alphabet series. This time I did it from a completely different angle. I was happy with how it turned out.
Seattle set a Guinness World Record for the largest snowball fight. They had to truck in over 30 dump truck loads of snow since we don't have any in the city.
I took this one before work one day last week. It was the most stunning frosty snow day, i would have given my right arm to be out taking pictures instead of being stuck in the office!
I really like my photos of this week, so it was a though choice, but I decided to go for a snowshot wince thats whats been around for the whole week :)
For some reason the white peacocks never seem to be with the coloured peacocks whenever we visit the park but on this day they were happily side-by-side.
I have a few I liked (obviously, since I posted them), but I'll choose this one first of all because it did not get any comment (I can deal with that) and secondly because I do love the softness of that landscape..
I would prefer to take street shots, but due to the freezing weather, have had to hunt around for things indoors, which has made me look at things differently and start using macro
Here's mine... and I love it because it's a fun shot.. I enjoyed putting it together, and it helped teach me some new editing tricks!!!
(And the amazing response I've had to it has really made me happy with it!!!)
I was happy with how the ordinary in my house turned out, plus it is one of my first with my new 50mm. I am struggling with the cold weather, lack of natural light, and finding inspiration in the house.
This is mine. It was a toss up between this and my low key portrait, as they both took me ages to work out the lighting, but I think this is more appropriate given all the snow we've had this week. :) A nice warming cup of tea.
This one—because while I took it just because I liked the play between symmetry and asymmetry, I got a whole new perspective on it when I solicited a title on FaceBook. Thanks to a friend, it's now called "Logs in Love"—even though that wasn't my original intent.
This one. Definitely. It was a rather good day for me, and I was wondering down an alley in the Downtown area of town. I looked back over my shoulder and BAM. It was one of those ideas that knocks you back a bit. I HAD to take it. Honestly, I didn't get as sharp an angle as I would have wanted. But, I still really like the moon being framed by the power lines.
Probably this one as I tend to be nervous taking pictures of people. I felt pretty confident when I took this one so maybe I'm starting to lose that bit of nervousness.
Because I'm so new to all of this and I was able to achieve the details and bokeh that I had wanted
This was my favorite, because I have been thinking about it for a while, and took the time to set up the shot and edit it.
Frost and a Curl...because it was just a magical day.
Because it was an unexpected shot....behind the grocery store.....and turned out that I liked it the best of what I took that week. :)
What I didn't like was how cold it was outside...
(iPhone)
because of the combination of colours, variety of birds, ducks and swans, and the fact that it is also a landscape picture
I in no way have such dynamic photos as the ones I'm seeing here (you guys wow me!)... But I like how this photo just happened organically.

Mine is this for the simplicity of it!
i love this--it represent something precious and that is time...
@jannkc
I often read your comments about not being as good as others... this photo proves quite the opposite. Great shot!
Nice lighting; like that it's in B&W!
Very nice... simply beautiful!
Because it was my first time attempting to capture individual snowflakes and I had a greater degree of success than I had expected. I also love the fact I managed to enhance the appearance of the image while making some adjustments in ACR, you can actually tell these flakes are crystals.
I just like this one. Thought it was a good one for the theme of PLAY.

Love my goofy girl hehe
I was pleased with this - liked the colours in the water and it's sort of 'painterly' quality. It was an image I liked more the more I looked at it.
Because this reminds me of our great walk with mum and Roxa to the field, and because Roxas panda-face is just priceless here =))
Why? Because I'm obsessed with these fascinating creatures and it was a moment I was happy to see -- much less snap!
Photo shoot for a friend's band, and they were really receptive to ideas. This one came out exactly as I had hoped.
For some reason the white peacocks never seem to be with the coloured peacocks whenever we visit the park but on this day they were happily side-by-side.
I also reaaally like the one @emmar84 posted - as well as a bunch more!
Great shot! I love the lines and contrast!
(And the amazing response I've had to it has really made me happy with it!!!)
Because I haven't done a selfie in ages! :)
This shot as I had wanted to try it for a while. I think it's a bit too light though.
This is my favourite because it the result of my first foray with snapseed. I really like the effect.

I thought this looked just as it would have been captured in an Edwarian postcard and was very pleased with the sepia effect.
this simple shot worked out well for me

love it--- because it was so happy to SEA you all--just look at her smile closely.:)
Two hours walking in a blizzard and I came across these Canada Geese - so well organised in a line!!
This one of my daughter because it was such a pure and natural moment.
Because it looks so dreary, as the day was, and almost like a black and white - but the taillights are in color.
