Thank you to all who have joined in with this weekly thread, to show off a favourite photograph from the past week.
This week I'm asking you to share your FAVOURITE FROM THE WHOLE YEAR
To do this peruse your albums and find the one you love the most. ( OK you can have two if you really really REALLY really can't decide!, 🤣)
If you're new to this to upload the photo click on the arrow bottom right corner of the photo copy the data that pops up and paste it into the thread below
Please do add a sentence or two to say why this one stands out for you
This one sticks in my memory mainly because it was shortlisted by @scrivna in the theme-movement challenge and narrowly got the most votes. And it was a quick reaction shot, and I got lucky.
Happy New Year. In 2023 this thread will be posted monthly ( unless someone volunteers to take over the weekly host role 🤣)
It has to be this one, not because I even took it, (I am the one in the union jack t shirt!) but because it was a first time meet up at Wisley Gardens in June with several 365ers and it was glorious to see them in person.
Very hard to choose as I have lots of favourites but I chose this one (that I didn’t even take) as I sold my house where I had lived for 36 years, it was such a huge change in my life
Don't know about my best, but definitely my favorite - probably because of the memories this spot always brings with it. We fished and canoed this river for forty years.
@skipt07 isn't it strange how comments fluctuate? @yorkshirekiwi deserves every fav you got!!! @milaniet perhaps best was wrong word to put in the title!!! Sorry @wakelys vicious little birds!!!
This one because I am getting older and when I was a kid the yellow trams were our preferred mode of transportation around town. This one is a museum piece and they take it for a spin every Sunday (weather permitting)
And this one (also because I'm getting older :-) I shot film for many years with Olympus OM and Minolta cameras. The last few months I have shot my first 35mm film in almost 20 years and it was a lot of fun
Hope's melting eyes get me every time - the experience on this particular day with him coming down the tree quite near me then scampering up and arguing with mum just makes this my favourite vision of Hope for koalas and the planet.
So hard, this concept of "best" but here's one that I feel captures a moment in time that all aligned nicely, the full moon, the reflection, my friend, and the below-the-breakwater-reflection.
@myhrhelper love those tones @jyokota I should have typed favourite not best, sorry. Love this silhouette @kartia it is a lovely effect you achieved @taffy wowsers, looks dramatic @koalagardens aww!!! @helstor365 enjoy using film more this year
I think this has to be my favourite. I have a few of this hawk but I love the fact that here I got all of him, including his lovely yellow feet and, I especially love the expression, with him standing beside the bird bath and hoping for his dinner to just drop from the sky.
@kjarn what a life changer!!

Thank you @30pics4jackiesdiamond for hosting this thread all year. I really appreciate having the prompt to step back and reflect.
I think not necessary explain the reason...!
I do wish I had used a slower shutter speed (than 1/250th) to get a little blur on the cars...
