The final day of Flash of Red 2022 has arrived. Can you believe it’s here? My February flew by- and just like that flash on the 14th or mid-month as you saw it- those 28 days came and went. Thanks to all who participated in our 10th year of Flash of Red February. It was fun watching what you came up with for the unusual prompts this year! As is our tradition, we’ll be posting our calendar shots come March 1st. You can add them in the discussion thread below if you’d like to share them with one and all, or you can just share a favorite photo from the month or our final week- as always, the creative choice is yours!
My most humble and grateful thanks to all my 365 friends who took part celebrating our 10th run of this challenge with all the creativity and enthusiasm 365 is known for. Your support and commitment to completing an entire month in black and white is always so encouraging to me. So thanks again and you are now free to roam the photographic world in all its colorful glory until next February!
Thank you Ann for all your hard work to make this come to fruition once again this year especially considering the challenges you faced immediately preceding the month.
Thanks very much Ann for organizing and shepherding us through this challenge. It was my first FOR and I really enjoyed it!
Can anyone give some advice on how to do the calendar shot? Do you just use a screenshot or is there a better way?
I can't believe February is over already either. Flash of Red was fun to do and gave me something to concentrate on during this dull gray month. Thank you for doing this, Ann.
@olivetreeann Thanks very much for hosting again this year Ann. I decided to do my calendar view on the 28th so that I finished on a full week. Hope that's OK.
Thank you Ann, lovely to have you back and thank you for hosting FoR2022! Enjoyed the month (but still prefer low key as soooooooooooo much easier than high-key!!)
I must admit I entered this with some trepidation; I'd watched Phil doing it for a few years now but hadn't taken the plunge myself. I have to say, I really enjoyed it.
Many thanks Ann for hosting another very successful Flash of Red challenge. Being pushed out of my comfort zone to produce high and low key images was quite the eye opener as well - something I hope to continue with :)
@olivetreeann Thanks for hosting this Ann. I admit, at times it pushed me a bit more than I appreciated at the time to meet the B&W, plus the daily prompts, requirements but in the end, it was a great experience and helped me learn a lot.
I’m not posting my finished calendar here because I’ve added colour to it, for personal/ humanitarian reasons, and I don’t want to break up the over all black and white look of this thread.
I really loved doing this (for the first time) although it was very challenging and got myself in a muddle on a few occasions. Learned a lot along the way about b&w photography and intend doing lots more now. Thank you Ann for hosting this wonderful theme. Looking forward to next year
@not_left_handed First click on one of the photos for February. Then look at the right hand side of your screen underneath that photo and you'll see "View this month" above the small panel of thumbnails. Click on that and you'll get the month view come up. You can then screenshot that month view and add text using editing software. :)
Thanks to @olivetreeann for hosting this year's edition of Flash-of-Red, always one of my favorite challenges.
I didn't do the "stripes" thing though, had enough trouble taking shots to fill the month! I suppose I could try and rearrange my photos, but I think I'll just beg forgiveness!
I'm late to posting my Flash of Red February but just finished it so I figured better late than never. I love seeing everyone else's interpretation on the theme. Thanks again for hosting this fun challenge, @olivetreeann.

I decided to do my calendar on 2/28 because I like the squared off look of the calendar, and my flash of red was not quite red…
@njmom3 What a magnificent results!
Can anyone give some advice on how to do the calendar shot? Do you just use a screenshot or is there a better way?
Happy Anniversary Flash of Red!
