My humble and grateful thanks to all 365ers who took part in Flash of Red 2024! It's always fun at the end of the month to see the "big picture"- all those black and white shots with their pop of red in the middle. This year you had the option to choose one day or a whole week. So, here's mine to get you started. I look forward to seeing yours below...
I hope you enjoyed the month as much as I did!
Thanks again for joining in.
Thank you Ann, the month flew by! I've chosen to showcase my selective colour album
as that one has the split-toning. I did follow the weekly prompts on my other album though!
I'm very thankful Ann @olivetreeann for all those great readings and information. I really appreciate, that you do this every year and do it so extremely well. Thanks a Million Ann. Here my calender,...
Ann, I have to apologise. I shall try and get a calendar together as enjoyed the month so much , but we leave on Mon 4th for parts OS so running short of time. Cheers Suzanne
@ankers70 I've put some tips on your 2nd album Suzanne @njmom3 Love the delicacy of your split tone week @homeschoolmom think you posted flower in error? It is a lovely image though!!
Here's how it was done:
Go to your calendar page and left click on the image.
Select "take screenshot" on the pull-down menu that appears.
Instructions should pop up and the ability to drag your cursor over the image.
Drag and pull the cursor over the image until it covers the area you want to save.
Then right click on the blue "Download" button.
You can direct your computer to save it in pictures, downloads, etc. Give the image a file name and select save. You're good to go!
That's how it works on my computer; yours may vary slightly. To add the letters, bring the file over to a photo processing program that allows you to put text on your image and play around with it until you find something you're happy with, then save it as a new file.
Thank you Ann for all the effort you put into organizing this. It's this kind of activity and participation that makes 365 such a fun and educational place.
Thanks, Ann. I particularly enjoyed playing with tone splitting, which was new to me, and contrast portraiture. Will continue to explore these further!
Thank you so much ladies and gents for so enthusiastically participating in this challenge and posting such creative responses to it! Whether you're new to "Flash", created your own sub-challenge, tried out new techniques for the first time, or muddled along with them like I did (!!), I'm so glad you enjoyed it and finished well. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!!
@tiaj1402 - you need to post your screenshot in one of your albums. then you copy the 'embed code' which you will find in the right bottom of your post , it's the square with an arrow. click on the embed post and you can paste it here as a comment. hope it works for you.
For my fourth Flash of Red February challenge, on days when there wasn't much going on, I filled in with black and white photos I've taken over the years that hadn't made it to my 365 pages for one reason or another. One red image on Valentine's Day and my fourth FOR challenge is complete. It's always a fun exercise in composition, contrast and tone.
NOTE: Because I did a "regular" February too for 2024, I put this FOR on February 2023 of my 2024 album. It was fun but hard to do both months at once.
Thanks for including me again, Ann LeFevre @Olivetreeann. I love this challenge. Even though I don't exactly follow what you've outlined I still appreciate all the thought and hard work you put into it each year.

Here's mine. I had a great time - thanks.
This is posted in my third album (which I rarely use) but I can send the file via email if you'd like. I will then take it off of my project.
Here's how it was done:
Go to your calendar page and left click on the image.
Select "take screenshot" on the pull-down menu that appears.
Instructions should pop up and the ability to drag your cursor over the image.
