Today, it says this is my top rated photo. (It swops places with my second top rated photo, If Frogs Were Flowers, every other day.) 418 views, 191 comments, 94 faves. Even though it is my top rated photo (for today), it is not the one with the most views, comments or faves. That would be the "Holy bat balls, Batman!" photo with 1294 views, 248 comments and 106 faves. It's always rated at #3. Strange statistics, strange ratings. XD
I was surprised because the ones the gnomes put as number one was taken earlier this week on June 19; so far it has 58 views 39 comments, and 4 favs which is a lot lower than any of the others in the top ten with 5 of them over 150 views and 6 to 10 favs.

Made it to the PP and took 11th out of 20 in the weekly top 20. I have never had another make the top 20 since or prior..
I've got others with more views/comments/favs but for some reason this one still sits at the top. @scrivener wouldn't explain how it's calculated... it's like the mysterious and elusive PP which I've never made it on to... but I do get a lot of inspiration from it! xx
@chewyteeth I get the feeling a year is good, but more than that brings in the doubts, mind you so many leave then come back, I think they miss the chats that you don't get on places like Flickr.

It's a developing and growing website, I think it's changed in its dynamic, whether you've been a year or five. I feel the demographic is different from when I started and there's a lot less humour being shared. But I remember threads from when I first started saying the same thing and I felt indignant. Also if you follow it through January to January with a group of contacts you all inevitably decide to comment less in your second year, so it all gets quite quiet. Still like you say putting images on flickr feels like writing poems in rainwater on a block of ice.
I don't understand how this is still my top rated when I have quite a few shots in my top 10 rated with twice as many faves and more views/comments too, but its still this one:
@lorraineb I would think, based on faves, comments and views, that either Set This Circus Down or Sea would be my top rated (Sea is actually #10 and it has 39 faves)
@lorraineb Great thread. . .I feel like a lot of others, always surprised that this stays at the top, no matter how others shift beneath it! Most interesting to me, though, is what my grown "boys" had to say about this shot that I can't add on this site! ;-> Takes something unusual to amaze them.
According to my stats- this is #2, but it has more views, more favs and more comments than #1, so I'm not sure why it's recorded that way. I'm posting it as #1- 190 views, 67 comments and 8 favs landed it on the PP for two days- a thrill for me since it was a last minute experiment on the suggestion of a sales clerk! It's not my favorite photo and I've taken a lot better, but that's how the numbers add up.
My no1 - 408 view, 111 comments & 50 favs! It's not my personal favourite & isn't the most viewed but I think your top rated is by the speed of favs/comments!?!
Well, definitely not as many views, comments or favs as the rest of these photos, but this is my top rated! Always welcoming of new followers and people to interact with on this site.

Compared to other folks' top pics, this has barely been peeped at but it is my number one shot, according to my stats, with 69 views, 12 comments and 4 faves. Honestly, it was a snap.
There's a lot of awesome stuff on here. I feel like I cheated by taking a photo of dew on grass, something that lands on PP about every two weeks, lol. :) So, my #1 photo... 247 Views, 165 Comments and 15 Favs.
(Oh, and ##2 and 3 in my project are also grass shots, albeit very different. Go figure!)
